Maya you couldn't of said it any better. Pat is just upset that she didn't get you, your an awesome player and just put that behind you because we have an NCAA championship to win, and I do hope it is against Tennessee and it would really top it off if you scored the winning basket. You go girl, keep your head up and don't let her get to you, your an awesome player and UCONN is so lucky to have you for another 3 years.

It appears that after a number of years (this ESPN visit was in 2005) and yet another attempt by Summitt to
officially show her disappointment at losing Maya as a recruit (remember Taurasi and Bird being accused of giving rides when they were in Russia at the time). The timing is impeccable IF the recruit wasn't a mature, humble young women.
Protect yourself in the tournament, Maya, you've got the target shirt.
I agree with Jackie - May said it best! I still say the Women's Hall of Fame in KNOXVILLE costs money to
visit and is it true TN takes there recruits to tour? Let's get back to basketball, I always respected Pat as a person and as a coach - a pioneer in the modern game. Now...it is disappointing to watch. Good luck UCONN!

You guys are too much.... And while you're repeating yourselves over and over, try to fast forward a couple of years to envision Maya leaving early to grab yet another brass ring. Go back to the mid and late 80's and take a look at records, trophies, and superstars, and you might understand that if Pat Summit hadn't been riding her [broom] around a largely "southern-state" dominated Top 25, your Huskey-ettes might have been playing to sub-1000 crowds: minus a few trophies of their own.:-)

It seem that UCONN olny casres about their basketball program.

What about the rest of the students that don't play sports?

Are their academic high marks overshadowed by the basketball record?

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Aquarius

You're very feisty and energetic and there's a lot you want to achieve. You'll get rather impatient if anyone stands in your way. A close emotional relationship will either be sexy and exciting beyond belief, or bad-tempered and tetchy. If you're in a grumpy mood, try to work out why - and what would improve matters. One thing that's bound to help is physical exercise, because it will burn off any excess nervous energy.
