Yikes, UConn is way out in eastern CT, not very often that these kinds of things happen up there. How sad that that kind of violence has to happen at something as innocent as a football game.

Jazz (Jasper as everyone else knows him) was a close friend of mine..he played on the team with my boyfriend...he was an awesome person and headed for great things' including fatherhood. He didn't deserve to die.{{RIP Jazz...you'll be missed babez! Watch over us!}}

I dont appreciate "Barrack" being an asshole...grow the hell up and show learn respect ASAP!!

And "Sue in Wayne County"....wow...that was a very dumb comment to add...first and foremost, it didn't happen at the game...and second, it doesn't matter where it happened...IT SHOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED!!

Facts need to be gathered on what actually happened, but there's an old adage that rings especially true at this time:

"Nothing good happens after midnight."

What is especially sad is that this was the end of homecoming week. My daughter's a freshman at UConn. Had a blast at the football game yesterday, went to see a comedian on campus last night. UConn is a great place. This should not have happened.
My condolences to Jasper's friends and family. What can we do to make our campuses and our society a safer place?

My point was it shouldn't have happened *anywhere.* I am fully aware that it happened after the game on the Storrs campus and not on the field at East Hartford.

Nothing he said is false or wrong. It may be classless but he only writing what is true. He may have some hidden\(or not so hidden) hate there, but this is a shame becasue it didn't have to be this way.

Really want to know? Keep on campus festivities for STUDENTS ONLY. Or friends of students who have been signed in ahead of time. A pain? Sure, but it would stop crap like this.

Because, this guy or gal isn't a student.

So true, so true.

Like when I wanted to come in after midnight while i was in high school. My dad used to say "if its after midnight, you are doing anything good"...and you know what.....I wasn't!

You put a bunch of people, young no nothing people together, add booze, and every once and a while you get something like this!

Barrack in Canada and Larry in Buffalo......F you both. This was tragic. Absolutely tragic. How can there be no witnesses yet? There were 40 cops there and 300 people. WTF? SOMEONE SPEAK UP! As an alumni, I feel horrible for this man's family and for the UCONN community as a whole. You're just not safe anymore, anywhere.

I'll bet the perp is some asshole from Willimantic or the north end of Hartford. Some thug douchebag that tried to be a tough guy when somebody bumped into him or stepped on his shoes.

Oh seriously get over yourselves. UCONN may be in eastern CT but it's not a great school, and really what kind of good role model is headed for fatherhood UNMARRIED and unable to support a family, hmmmmmm?

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Scorpio

A loved one is extremely upset today, and you'll soon know all about it. Things are out of proportion, so a minor hitch becomes a huge drama that means you've got to drop everything in order to calm them down. Hey ho. At least it won't last long. If you're doing some last-minute Christmas shopping, you won't have as much patience as usual and nor will anyone else.
