Cru,

You're just getting boring now. Do you have any new material? The whole no-one-cares-about-Butler thing is really stale. We need something new in order for all of us to ridicule you.

Why do you post on these boards day and night? Have you no life? How pathetic. BTW, Butler will be a #3 seed in the NCAA tourney. Do you have a problem with that?

If there were students there, I think the attendance would have been closer to 7000. Anyways attendance doesn't affect the play on the court.

There have never been 2,000 students at a game. This has been discussed over and over.

The game was not fun to watch; it was pretty ugly all of the way around.

Being on a Saturday evening there were plenty of other things to do in Indianapolis that would have been more enjoyable.

It's interesting that tickets to the HL tournament were less than the regular season but they still couldn't draw. The fan base has definitely been eroded with the new ticket policies.

Kudos must go to Streicher and company. He held the leading scorer in the conference to 5 points. Great game Dawgs, Mike is getting better every game and I finally think Graves and Campbell are both on at the same ime. This team is getting better at the right time.

Joe Lunardi @ ESPN (bracketologist) still has Butler projected as a #6 seed. His reasoning is that by next wekend, Butler will not have beaten any top 50 rated teams (0-1 against top 50). There are many other factors that go into how the tournament committee will seed and I believe Lunardi is under estimating this. If Butler takes care of business on Tuesday, they have an outside shot at a #3 or #4 if upsets occur in some of the higher profile conference tournaments. If not, then Butler will be a #4 or #5 depending on the criteria of this year's selection committee. If Butler loses Tuesday then they will be a #5. I just don't see them falling to a #6 regardless of Tuesday's outcome.
We know who the top 9 seeds will be. Butler will be competing for the remaining #3,#4,and #5 seeds from this group of teams. Keep an eye on these teams this week. I agree with Wizard of Westwood. We need some upsets among these teams.(Stanford, Xavier, Louisville, Connecticut, Drake, Michigan St., Indiana, Vanderbilt, Notre Dame, Purdue)

There's this somewhat blasphemous side of me that wouldn't mind so-o-o much if: Cleveland State nipped My Dawgs, Ill. State nipped Drake's Dogs; St. Joe stopped Xavier's Muskies and IUPUI tripped Oral Roberts....WHY!? Cause that would mean FOUR deserving teams would stick it to the SLOPPY SECONDS and their Major Conference Pathetic Apologists and that the likes of BORING, OVER-HYPED Syracuse, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Oregon would be sent packing to the NIT brought to you by the Cru Jones Weed-Wacker Company. Hey Cru, have yo' Momma pack some extra jammies and head to THE 'CUSE next Sunday. Me thinks Jimmy BAY-WHINE is gonna need some lovin' Oh....back to reality, I have no problem with Joe Lunardi's bracket though dealing with I-State would be hard.....but it could mean Dawgs-Louisville REPRISE (that means repeat game Cru)in Birmingham! The ghosts of Darnell Archey!!! Luv ya all from the Left Coast -- I want Dawgs in Anaheim!

Second Half Performance was what this team has been all about, team oriented offense and defense. Some of the crispest passes came from Mike Green and AJ Graves, leading to easy baskets by Streicher and Campbell. Howard played hard against the slow footed Van De Meer, tiring the big man out even though Matt was playing with a sore thumb and ankle. The nay-sayers who think this team cannot go deep into the NCAA's must not watch this team when they play like they did the second half. Watch out big boys, here come the DAWGS!!

Butler will be a 4 or 5 regardless of the outcome of the Horizon League Final with Cleveland St.
I then have a gut feeling that Butler will be in the same bracket with with either Indiana, Purdue, or ND.( All will be either 4's or 5's) Assuming they and Butler get by the 1st round, I see a 2nd round matchup coming with Butler/IU , Butler/Purdue or Butler/ND.
Let's hope everyone is able to win their 1st round games.
I actually hope you are right. Then everyone would shut up after the Butler boys take out any of the other Indiana teams by more than 10 and get to rest some starters in the second half. I am so tired of the Big Ten elitists who missed Butler easily beating OSU and Michigan, mch easier than IU or Purdue did, yeh, well it's the only way we have to compare them. Get used to seeing this team they have several games to go.

Those RPI ratings fail to point out the fact that the reason Butler hasn't beat any top 50 teams *as of now* is because those losses by other teams TO Butler is part of the reason they aren't ranked higher! As mentioned, there are lots of teams teetering on the 50 line and the 100 line.

I loved Cleveland state this year and have tremendous respect for what coach Waters has accomplished. I really felt he should have been the Horizon coach of the year all alone.
The Vikings will be a tough out for the Dawgs. They played killer defense on their last visit to Hinkle. It should be a great final.
GO DAWGS!!!

End of 1st half/beginning of 2nd the dawgs were as sharp as I have seen them in awhile. What needs to happen tuesday though is the opposite of last night-need to get off to a much better start and hit the boards harder. If that happens they could jump on cleveland state early and finish this thing. CSU has had a nice season but they are nowhere near the class/talent of Butler.

Good win last night and let's keep it up for Tuesday, give these idiot bracketologists something to think about.

Tia you obviously haven't been to many Butler games this year because there were around 2000 students against Ohio St. and Drake. I thought it was a pretty enjoyable game to watch actually, especially the way Mike Green put on a clinic. I'll also enjoy watching him in the NBA next year too.

And what you said about ticket prices is totally FALSE... Butler averaged over 6,000 per game this year which is MORE than last season. An increase in attendance and revenue yet people like you still want to b itch about it. You're from Carmel don't tell me you can't fork over an extra 5 bucks to come to Hinkle.

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Aquarius

The emotional atmosphere is quite potent under this Lunar Eclipse, evoking a sense of crisis. The problems you've been experiencing with a certain person lately come to a head during the next fortnight, making you feel that you have to take drastic action or lay down the law. Yet this could make the situation worse than ever, especially if you act from a sense of panic or desperation. Take things gently and don't throw your weight around unless it's absolutely necessary.
