Mark Ingram, doing a little hurdling. Well, Atlanta was a good time. I have a feeling I might not be the only person who lives in Alabama to think so.

The loyal Clemson fans are finally fed up with Tommy Bowden. The alumni have been protecting him for the past 3 years, but now they are ready to feed him to the IPTAY gang. This was the final stand for Coach Bowden. The team was not prepared and the talent is being wasted by the poor coaching and lack of discipline. Anyone want a mediocre used football coach should call the AD at Clemson any time after the Labor Day holiday. Let's all say a final bye-bye to Tommy!

Come on, Duh. Don't be so hard on your coaches. You need to face a couple of facts in order to put the Tigers' butt-whippin' in perspective:

1. Clemson football is just not as talented as you think. Sure, you have a few speedsters who can really turn on the after-burners. But, it takes more than skill players to make a football team. If you need proof that your team is not as talented as you have heretofore thought, take a look at the studs on the Alabama lines (o and d) and then look at Clemson's lines. Need I say more?

2. Clemson is an ACC team. They were playing an SEC team. You guys are good at basketball, but let's be brutally honest: The ACC sucks at football when compared to the far superior SEC. You were - literally and figuratively speaking -- out of your league.

So, cut your coaches some slack. If Clemson wins the ACC championship, you can be happy in the fact that your team are champions of a wimpy football conference. Maybe you will then forget about firing your coaches.

Clemson usually doesn't keep loser coaches for this long - his 10th season. The administration decided to see if time would be their friend by letting Bowden do his own thing. Well his own thing is mediocrity, blaming others, and comparing his teams to other losers. Not what a top college wants in a coach. This is Bowden's last season at Clemson. Bank on it...
