Suh or Gerhart are most deserving - Ingram is a clear second best running back to Gerhart.

She immediately instructed the band to play Sweet Home Alabama. The win against Florida last week pretty much sealed the deal. The BCS matchup with Texas will be a good one. On a side note I wonder what Ole Miss back Dexter McClusker (sp) would have done on a team like Alabama or Florida. I think he's the most exciting runner in the SEC.

This is a typical example of uniformed eastern voters getting taken in by SEC hype. How many more times are people going to fall for this crap - Charlie Ward? Gino Toretta? Danny Wuerffel? Chris Weinke? Gerhart exceeded Ingram in all but 2 or 3 categorical measures, plus Alabama probably wins the same number of games without Ingram as they do with him.

Except for the fact that Ingram is in the SEC and played for Alabama, what else leads you to believe that he deserved the Heisman more than Gerhart or Suh?

Gerhart truly should be the Heisman Trophy winner. We just had a white guy win it last year, Sam Bradford. So, they had to give it to a black guy this go around..........Toby Gerhart was truly the winner, for sure!:\

T-Town Clown wrote: <quoted text>the voters say Ingram I am not upset that he won, the voters where just wrong and bought into the ESPN hype. I think Ingram should have been in the discussion, unlike Tebow, he shouldn't have even been invited but since ESPN runs the thing now, and he was their hero, they had to let him come or they would have looked like idiots. Since ESPN has a contract with the SEC now, they will always hype the SEC and it's players, kinda like the under armor bowl. Every recruiting service has a player ranked in the top 25 but if he isn't going to the under armor bowl but going to the Army All American game, they won't even have him ranked in the top 75. They are going to do what it takes to get their ratings up. If that means over hype a team, league or player, they will. They are basically like MSNBC,CBS or CNN when they only done favorable stories of Obama or DEMS. The problem with those guys is that it ended up hurting them because their rating went to crap. ESPN is smarter, they will jump on a bandwagon if they can't make one.

It's an injustice to the Heisman Trophy.....which once proved who is truly the best all-around student/athlete in the ocuntry....of course, with the exception of OJ Simpson, who deservedly had his yanked away from him for murdering his wife......Shame on OJ; and, shame on the voters for really screwing up this year's true Heisman vote. It should've been Gerhart with Sue and and Ingram a close 2nd and 3rd..........
