They will slip further after they lose to Iowa, Penn St, and Michigan. Very disturbing to this Buckeye fan....I can't be an optimist anymore.

Here are the facts: OSU is not a top 10 team. They have no offense, their QB is not getting better, and there is no protection. The vest should have put Bauserman in after the 3rd turnover. Even the BTN announcers made a comment about Pryor's head being in the right place. I have no doubt that TP is a superior athelete, but he is not a decision maker. In fact I almost think that he is not grasping the complexities of the offense and position. Plays are taking far too long to begin, the QB and 'O'line are not in sync. Perhaps it is time for the Vest to hand over the Offense to someone new.

I think JT can ride the Pryor train all the way out of the BCS rankings.

when a team commits so many penalties, and the other team commits so few, then it's an example of poor coaching versus good coaching.

once AGAIN, tressel was outcoached. this time, he was beaten by a coach who fielded INFERIOR talent.

To the O.S.U Board of Directors each and every one oyf you need a lawsuit put on you for renewing and giving extension to Tressel contract. Right, the Buckeyes have really passed the "eyeball" and "smell" tests so far this year. Gimme a break.

With Iowa's Stanzi, an Ohio prep player, the Buckeyes would certainly have had a more stable offense and could conceivably won every game they were in. The Bucks are #32 in the computer ranking portion of the total BCS, about where they realistically are. The human polls are very generous.

I feel sorry for the seniors on the Buckeye team who's chances to be part of a high ranked team and to play in a major bowl game in their last year have been dashed by poor coaching decisions, mainly sticking with an unreliable quarteback much too long. Sixty years from now they will be telling their grandchildren " if coach tressel had only seen the light and------"

We don't deserve to be in a BCS bowl game. The teams that are currently in those slots belong there and we couldn't play to their level. So as upset as I am, I know we just don't have the players. It is sad but we are rated where we should be. Until Tressel and his staff realize this we are going to stay there.

Let's be realistic THE OSU administration will never fire JT he won a national title and will end up having a job in the AD when he decides to stop coaching plus he says all the right things and has gives the program a squeaky clean image. But the AD should require some changes be made to JT's staff in particular the firing of Jim Bollman, if this is the product he is going to put on the field when he is coaching up 4 and 5 star offensive line recruits imagine how things will be when OSU is no longer able to get the 4 and 5 star recruits.

Yes....and as we "take a deep breath", let's remember: Under Jim Tressel's watch we have enjoyed a nearly perfect streak of delicous Thanksgiving Days thanks to "owning Michigan" --and the anticipation (until the games anyhow) of climactic bowl games.

Now.....under Jim Tressel's watch....we are no longer the best DI college football team in the state of Ohio. That's progress isn't it?

Iowa just has to win. Ohio State does not deserve to be ranked in any poll. The Buckeyes actually don't even deserve the "honor" of other teams receiving votes.

They left them in the dust because they stink! Cincinnati would crush these losers! Cincinnati is number #5 in the country and #1 in Ohio. UC is exciting to watch, has a great QB unlike the luckeyes and has a coach who can make adjustments. GO BEARCATS!!!

I believe, regardless of the denials coming from some players, that there is a huge amount of discontent on this team; the QB, the playcalling, game plans, etc.

This team plays with no emotion, just like it's head coach.

It's obvious they are not being "coached-up", at any position, there certainly aren't many coaches on this staff that would be coveted by any other major college program.

Time to clean house!!!!

time to start a new QB and let TP try his hand at as a WR..if he can catch...he is overrated as a QB. Someone has to step up and be "the man" on this team. OSU can't rely on the "D" or special teams to put points on the board.
I for one will not be spending money on a game ticket or hotel room to go to OSU this year...I have made a trip back for the last several years..this year I would rather watch them at home, save my money and change the channel if I want to.

Tressel is obviously antiquated in his approach, his way is fine when we have studs everywhere. When we are average his methods play out just like last saturday.

All the enemy haas to do is run a defense they have not this year and prior is cooked, his football IQ is very limited, combine that with a video coordinator coaching him and you have what we all saw saturday.

This party is over people, 7-5 at best!

I'd first like to say that I wish Cincy well the rest of the year. Brian Kelly is a good coach and I'd support any Ohio team. But your trolling in this topic is uncalled for. We've got a thread here of nothing but OSU fans expressing disappointment in the team and you troll along injecting Cincy into the discussion? Go start your own thread praising the Bearcats. I'll post a reply in support. Go away troll, isn't there an old lady somewhere that you can knock down to the ground?

Keep telling yourself that, but bear in mind that Purdue is also "rebuilding". They're starting a guy at QB who wasn't supposed to start and they're still trying to put together a defense. Even if Ohio State is "rebuilding" there's no excuse for losing to Purdue.

Of course I won't give Ohio State a pass for rebuilding. The new players aren't the ones who are struggling. The offensive line has veterans (Boren, Cordle and Brewster) the rest of the line is comprised of the top recruits in the country. Terrelle Pryor is the weakest link on offense and he's in his second season as a starter. He's getting worse! You're supposed to get better as the season goes on if you're rebuilding.

I've taken a deep breath and calmly thought everything through. I can say without reservation that Jim Tressel has lost it and it's been a slow process starting with the lack of preparation exhibited against Florida. Saturday was a complete and utter failure. Jim Tressel thought his defense would bail him out again, but the coach on the other side of the field did his homework and took it to the Buckeyes. As one comment already stated: Jim Tressel was outcoached again and this time a team with inferior talent beat the Buckeyes.
