I'm very mixed about this.
As, I love the NCAA basketball tourney. And, as we often see with pro sports. The "best team" (many times from the toughest division) doesn't even make the title game or championship series.
But, as one of my friends pointed out. It's not just the strength of schedule.
In terms of how physically beat up your team can get. Which is a valid point against Boise.
It is also about the mental grind. Consider a team like Michigan State. 4 consecutive weeks of OSU, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Nebraska.
Having to getting up mentally for each week w/o having any letdown is much harder in big conferences. Especially when there are huge rivalry games almost every other week.
Boise doesn't have to do this each week. They don't have any major rivals in the MWC. Not to mention teams like Utah and BYU aren't even in the conference anymore. And, TCU isn't as good this year.
If there was an 8 or 16 team playoff. They would belong. Not 100% sure they would belong in a BCS title game unless many other things go their way.
Still, it would be interesting to see them against LSU, Alabama, OKSU, or Stanford. I wouldn't complain. Because, I like having more possible drama and suspense. But, you know many in the media will complain about it.

You are so uniformed. You should get your facts straight before you speak. BSU begs bigger more competitive to play them and they refuse. Who wants to be beat by a team from a lesser league. The Oklahoma/BSU game embarrassed the BCS and proved they belong in the BCS. They don't have to be as big in physical size, school size or population size - they will still win - ever hear of an outstanding no nonsense coach with fantastic motivational skills named Chris Pederson? BSU has him and every team should want him. He is a gold mine.

Yeah.. your right...nobody wants to play BSU.....afraid they will get their ass handed to them on national TV.

Yeah.. your right...nobody wants to play BSU.....afraid they will get their ass handed to them on national TV. BCS fanbois have extremely selective memories, a trait common to all cowards and hypocrites. The fact that Boise State has gone 6-1 against AQ teams since 2006 is considered "irrelevant": 2006 Oregon State - W 2006 Oklahoma - W 2007 Washington - L 2008 Oregon - W 2009 Oregon - W 2010 Virginia Tech - W 2011 Georgia - W While at the same time, the same fanbois will claim the 2005 loss to Georgia is "current events". Only a gutless $hitbag would expect to have it both ways. .

Look at it this way, ok. Boise may be undefeated & you all say they have no major rivals, but it's the "Coach's" every Sunday who vote & that's how Boise is up there with the other undefeated teams. But you can also look at other teams who have lost 1, 2, 3 games & are still higher in the polls than teams who have lost 1 or 2 games. Boise is up there cause of other coach's voting for them too. There must be a reason they are getting votes?

BSU sure has ALOT of "Nobodies" currently ranked ahead of em...Go Figure....It's not difficult to prepare for one or maybe two quality teams a year and appear stellar....Playing against formidable opponents week in and week out, a totally different story...BSU needs to grow a pair and join a league....And NO, the country is not saying little league.....Quality teams do so....BSU doesnt....Its just plain and simple....

I dont know what is wrong with the oregon ducks fan but BSU as bet them at one time or the other and they can bet them again the ducks isnt any better than anyone else.So Boise is just as good as the ducks. I know they have right to speak there minds but lets get real.Boise can play against the best teams out there and tes they might get beat but again they might just bet them and that is what the coaches and the other teams are afraid of. They need to give Boise a chance to prove there self against these other teams and they need to quit comm. about Boise ant good enough to play them. Quit being babys and give Boise a change and put them against the other teams and let them play.

It should be Boise against Ark. Now that would be a good game.

Thank you for saying and admitting that. Boise State does deserve better. But on the bright side, it's better than the last three years, when the BCS protected AQ teams from having to play them. Boise can't get more AQ teams to sign on in the regular season, so bowl games are the only other chance to play. Yet for three times in three years, Boise, along with TCU and Utah, were sent to the kids' table instead of having the chance to kick the a$$es of "big" teams. THAT is what I mean by protected. It's easy to lie and say "Boise can't beat anyone" when they never get chance to play. If Boise keeps racking up wins, it gets harder to make that claim. .

Boise State gets no credit from the BCS conferences or their fans. Their sos is held against them as if they are no better than the teams in their conference or the BCS schools that have agreed to play them in the past. Each time they have beaten a BCS team , that team has been down played for the rest of the entire season. Even after finishing with their conference titles in nearly every case. Then the whole conference that these teams resided in has been downplayed. BSU has a tough time getting a BCS team to sign as they most generally are looking for easier ooc teams to schedule and do not wish to take a chance on losing an ooc game. The few wins that Boise State has had over the past 6 or 7 years combined with the blow out wins they have consistently produced against their other weaker opponents should be an indication that they are much better than the schedule they have been exposed to. Any one that disagrees after looking at the way Boise State has beaten their opponents is just grabbing air to insist that BSU is not worthy.

Boise St can play some of the best teams and beat them, that is for sure. But I don't think they could handle a rigorous schedule in a big conference. That's what I see as a problem with them.
