I'm worried about women's basketball. It's this UConn thing. How is it possible that in a game being played in an organized manner by hundreds of thousands of girls and women from the ages of 6 or 7 on up that one excellent college team cannot find even one other school that can come within single digits of it over two seasons? The answer might be that Geno recruits and keeps only players that are team players not prima donnas..and selfish players. They pass, contribute to each other and have the team's interest ahead of their own stats.
The Delaware player Della Don was used to being the high scorer and star and at UCONN you leave all that behind and play Geno's game which is not one to feed only "the Star" instead it's to make the best play to benefit the team and to win the game. When you are a team the caliber of UCONN the recruiting is easy - the best players come to you!!
