"When we went down to Philadelphia,[the intensity] was very high, against Virginia, against this team.... They're ready to go play our conference schedule," Edsall said

Went to Philly to play Temple. Edsall forgot to include that data point. Did anyone see what Penn State did to Temple? Or what Buffalo did to temple? Notice he doesn't mention Hof. Perhaps he should do the same with the he trip to Philly. If these 4 games prep you for the BE then that ain't saying much.

Another strength is their weak schedule and conference.

Hey Sally Dogs, you are one of those idiot "poor me, angry at the institution for developing into an athletics powerhouse, can't stand when my neighbors put that blue and white husky flag up" types. It's really amusing, actually, knowing the anger you feel while the rest of the state loves it. Stew and fester in your own bitterness, punk, because nobody hears you but you. Tool.

Marcus is "The Man"!
Nit wits like Sally Dog are too dumb to get the point of Desmond's article. Coach Edsall has the team "ready to play" each game this year which has not always been the case in the past. Plus there are fewer penalties and fewer mental mistakes so far this season. Haters don't see these things.
Still upset about being cut from his JV High School team I'd guess.

Desmond you do a great job. Uconn has done well. 4-0 no complaints. Donald brown is Legit. Being from Connecticut I am really happy. I just am not sold on Lorenzen being able to win the big game. If we are down with 2 minutes to go in a game can Tyler bring us down the field. I don't think he has those skills. Watch him in the pocket with his happy feet and his weird release of the ball. We will see.

He is Troll, not a fan. He is all over the message boards about UCONN sports. Do not feed the trolls.

I love annoying "Diehard" Uconn fans. I can't wait until the team is under .500 this season and everyone of you clowns will be complaining like little girls.

When you play the likes of Hofstra (1-2, just barely beat URI & lost to Albany), Temple (1-3, got embarrassed by Penn State), Baylor (2-2), & Virginia (1-2 Only win against Richmond) coming ready to play isn't that hard. Edsell got his team ready to play. I hope he did thats only his job. Why is he praised for that?
* On a side note, can we not hear "Welcome to the Jungle" every five minutes at the game?

10 years into D1. 13-4 since 9/1/07. With some of the young o line (think Jimmy Bennett)could be 10 win team next year. This year 12-0 into a BCS Bowl! Give any team left on the schedule a 6 point lead with 6 minutes to go, Uconn ball, Uconn will not be stopped! Mr. Edsall is not building a winning program HE HAS BUILT a winning PROGRAM! Has Donald Brown went down at all this year on first contact?

"Welcome to the Jungle" is played every time the opposing team is on third down and, if they're going for it, fourth down. And if you already realized that, the Rentsch is also not the only venue by far to play that song in those situations. Wow, the demerits are really piling up for you as a "real football fan". Either you should not be lazy and get up and make some noise on the opposing team's third and fourth down plays, or, if you do already, you're nothing but a hypocrite. Boy, I hope you're lying when you said you went to the game.

HAHAHAHAHA - Dude, you are too funny! Keep it coming, it's similar to the feeling I get watching Jerry Springer, or Cops... I feel like one hell of a happy, successful person knowing you're out there. Kind of like when work gets tough, you can sit back, take a breath and say "at least I'm not that loser guy from the Courant message boards!"

SALLYDOGS,SALLYDOGS,SALLYDOGS, SALLYDOGS, it's UConn, by the way!

BY THE WAY, THE "ZEBRA'S" AT THE BAYLOR GAME SHOULD BE PUT ON A BOX AT MIDNIGHT AT THE CORNER OF ALBANY N MAIN WITH A TIN CUP FULL OF PENCILS. THE SAFETY AND NUMEROUS OTHER CALLS SHOULD DEMOTE THEM ALL TO A SOUTHINGTON HICH FOOTBALL GAME.
