They're not that easy to find. Spiders, like most creatures that aren't parasitic, only bite humans when they're threatened.

They're pretty common in the area I grew up here, and I have had a lot of contact with them. As for biting, I did get bit by a few, but it is rare. They are so beautiful too.

If that's all the religion claimed no one would listen. But they have the bible
And the bible is an incredible book.
Number one book in the world still today.

I'm okay with them unless I spot one on my bedroom ceiling. This does not make me happy.

Oh. We made such progress, you and I. And now you're back to willful ignorance. Oh, well.
Yes, Eagle. Every single species evolved. No exceptions. If you could find a single exception, it would utterly destroy the contemporary discipline of biology.
Look, your ignorance is not a foundation for an argument. It's just a show and tell of what you don't know. You cannot logically say "I do not know something, therefore a theory that proposes that which I do not know cannot exist."
That's a logical fallacy, Eagle. You keep presenting them. Perhaps you have a degree in logical fallacies?
The other one that creationists often use is the argument from personal incredulity. It goes like this "I cannot imagine X, therefore X could not be." You guys do that all the time - like in the above where you write "spiders are sooooo complex that I cannot imagine they evolved. Therefore they did not."
Logical fallacy.
It's not our problem that you don't understand biological science and don't know anything about spiders, dragonflies, biology or evolution.
The problem here is with you, your lack of education in biology and your inability to understand how logic works.
I know you won't let this stop you. You'll just move on to some other poorly understood topic and invoke your third favorite kind of argument fallacy - basing your position on my ignorance. You say "since you cannot show me that spiders evolved, they cannot have." That's a logical fallacy since both 1) spiders evolved and 2) every single step of spider evolution may not have fossilized are perfectly compatible.
So remember, your arguments ALWAYS consist of a mix of three logical fallacies:
1. your personal ignorance
2. your personal incredulity
3. my ignorance
Guess what? Biological science is not based on logical fallacies.
Nice to chat with you :)
Hello Hiding,

Good to hear from you again. You know I still love you and you are one of my favorites.

I’ve been having a good time with your fellow sub servants. They need some schooling Hiding. All they do is babble and talk in circles. Then they post science articles that support my side of the argument. Unlike you they are real novices.

I still believe in evolution on the micro biological level. On the larger scale, I can’t accept it because evolution can’t be responsible for the humming bird and the Venus fly trap.

Or even mankind for that matter.

A few spiders in every home is good. You’re not going to be able to get rid of them anyway. They do pretty nice work keeping other undesirables at bay.

Always a fascination.

Now get this, evolutionist say that spiders branched off from the horseshoe crab.

There is no way in hell a spider is related to a damn horseshoe crab, no way.

Take a look at the horseshoe crab. Then look at the spider.
That’s a hell of a stretch of the imagination. And you believe it because you will believe anything that’s told to you.

"Ride Cowboy Ride"

Ride cowboy ride.
Through the back door to heaven.
To the other side.
I wanna know the danger of a kiss.
At midnight.
Ride, cowboy, ride.
Yeah, I learn my lesson.
Here's a story to tell
So I made my confession.
In this sleazy motel.
I could be the romantic
I could try my best lines
But ain't got the money
And we ain't got the time.
Ride, cowboy, ride.
Through the back door to heaven to the other side.
I wanna know the danger of a kiss.
At midnight. Ride cowboy ride.
So you want to be a cowboy.
Ride cowboy, ride.
You want to be a big shot.
Baby, come on.
Ride, ride, ride.

I didn't say it wasn't a good book. I read everything I can get my hands on. I think there's still a cereal box next to the toilet, now that I think about it.

I treat The Bible just as I do The Odyssey. A work of fiction with historical references.

I accept the very mechanism by which evolution works, but I do not accept the obvious implications of this mechanism. I achieve this stunning act of mental gymnastics by reducing blood flow to the critical thinking parts of my brain when I am faced with any evidence that may threaten my beliefs (this really happens). I think that if I am able to "poke holes" in an otherwise extremely robust and well supported theory, that I am in effect dismantling the entire theory. Yes, I do think that, even though the fossil record for many species is very thorough, that pointing out a few that are not yet well explained is the same as making a valid claim against evolution.

Fixed it for you.

It was funny at first, but your constant use of arguments from ignorance or incredulity is really just getting annoying. Just because you can't understand something, or because it does not make sense to you, does not make it untrue. It especially does not mean goddidit.

Daily Horoscope for June 18

Sagittarius

It's a great day for mixing and mingling with people you always get on well with, so try not to keep yourself to yourself too much as that would be a real shame on a day when you're feeling so convivial and friendly. Speaking of friends, you'll enjoy spending time with them now, especially if you share some core values.
