I don't see any massive cry from the left to ban pickup trucks either.
Driving in this country is a priviledge granted by the state. Bearing arms is a right granted by the Constitution.
In most States, it is illegal to drive with that many in a pick up truck.

i.e. there is a law in place to prevent this type of event.

It found that 66 percent believe paltry job growth and slow economic recovery is the result of bad policy. Thirty-four percent say Obama is the most to blame, followed by 23 percent who say Congress is the culprit. Twenty percent point the finger at Wall Street, and 18 percent cite former President George W. Bush.

The poll, conducted for The Hill by Pulse Opinion Research, found 53 percent of voters say Obama has taken the wrong actions and has slowed the economy down. Forty-two percent said he has taken the right actions to revive the economy, while six percent said they were not sure.

They probably have...
The Soviet Union implanted sleeper cells that were here for a very long time. I wonder how many terrorist cells backed by mideastern terror organizations are already here, just waiting for orders.
I would be willing to bet there are more than a dozen in New York alone.(that even the FBI and other counter terror organizations know nothing about)
It's a little more difficult for terrorists to communicate since the Patriot Act and its extension under this administration.

At least that's some reassurance.

But the likelihood there are no cells here now is highly unlikely.

Obama? You surely knew there was an expiration date on blaming Bush? The public says now Obama is responsible for his own actions. Current poll has the following people responsible from most to least -OBAMA -the most, Congress, Banks and Financial institutes, Bush.
You are the dumb ass who thought the blame game was a magical ticket that could be used forever.

Hmmmm....let's see. The person who decides to go on a killing spree has the following choices:
a) a gun
b) a Chevy
c) a knife
Which do you think he would choose? BTW, I'm pretty sure I could attempt to outrun the Chevy and the knife. The gun? Not so much....
...what a tool....
It actually depends on the circumstances.

If his or her target was in an area crowded with pedestrians the chevy would probably be the most efficient tool for him to use. At a relatively high rate of speed it would be pretty difficult for people to run anywhere. That is why so many are injured and die when people have an urgent need to vacate a building or stadium in a hurry. He or she could mow down a lot of people in a relatively short time span, would not have to reload or continue pulling a trigger, and the getaway would also be relatively quick and expedient as compared to a similar individual trying to accomplish the same thing with a gun.

The key word in your response was "attempt."

If you were on the beach and a Tsunami hit you could attempt to swim or run away, but I sincerely doubt you would succeed. Depending on the circumstances you might stand a better chance of outrunning a knife. Problem with that is a knife is a pretty stealthy weapon. Someone intent on doing damamge with a knife would probably sneak up behind people and either stab them in the back or cut their throat from behind.

My point is.... the weapon is irrelavent if the intent is present.
And so it goes

Not a foolish argument made by a fool.
A fact well documented by your government.
The solution:
Seat Belts
Tougher drunk driving laws
Higher safety standards for automobile manufacturers
Great Idea. When carrying a gun you must me restrained my seat belts.

Tougher laws for gun control.

Higher standards on what type of gun and who can own and carry one.

In case you don't get it, guns are not comparable to cars. Your so whack you'll try to compare a gun to anything.

"Poles honor Reagan, John Paul II with new statue
By VANESSA GERA | Associated Press – Sat, Jul 14, 2012

"GDANSK, Poland (AP)— Polish officials unveiled a statue of former President Ronald Reagan and Pope John Paul II on Saturday, honoring two men widely credited in this Eastern European country with helping to topple communism 23 years ago....

Reagan and John Paul shared a conviction that communism was a moral evil, not just a bad economic system. And Lech Walesa, founder of the Solidarity movement that led the anti-communist struggle in Poland, has often paid homage to both men and told the AP in a recent interview that he deeply respected Reagan.

"Reagan should have a monument in every city," Walesa said.

... Poles also remember that when the communist regime imposed the martial law crackdown in 1981, rounding up dissidents and imprisoning them, Reagan lit candles at the White House to show his solidarity with the Polish people.

"When Reagan lit the candles, we knew we had a friend in the United States," said Czeslaw Nowak, a former Solidarity activist who was imprisoned for his activism in the 1980s. He leads an organization of former imprisoned dissidents that worked for about four years to raise 200,000 zlotys ($59,000) for the statue. The money was collected from former Solidarity members, many of whom are today living on small pensions and could only afford the smallest of donations...."

NEWS WATCH: Hungary Honors President Reagan With Statue
Thursday, June 30, 2011 (9:10 pm)

"BUDAPEST, HUNGARY (BosNewsLife)-- A statue of former U.S. President Ronald Reagan has been unveiled Wednesday in Hungary's capital Budapest where he was honored for helping to end communism and creating a new world for Central and Eastern Europe. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice attended the ceremony.

Watched by an enthusiastic crowd, a Hungarian military band played at the unveiling of a statue honoring former President Ronald Reagan for his efforts to free the people of Hungary and other East European state from the Soviet Union's domination and Communist dictatorship. Many Christians and churches were among those targeted by the previous atheistic regime...."

By more than 2-1, 63%-29%, those surveyed say Romney's background in business, including his tenure at the private equity firm Bain Capital, would cause him to make good decisions, not bad ones, in dealing with the nation's economic problems over the next four years.

Would anyone know anything about chemicals used to make counter tops shine like new and smells very strongly like nail polish remover - and if it could be toxic in any way?
They did this in the condo right next to us and the fumes coming through our vents have been almost unbearable the past two days.
I think some counter top materials require a sealer. Maybe granite or marble? Not sure. I'd be willing to bet it is not wise to breathe the vapors. Air your place out as much as possible. You might want to jot down the date it started and note any health related issues that may crop up.
