I've seen Hanson's son play and at best he's a D3 player. Nothing wrong with that but he is not a scholarship player. As for Tony Hanson, he is a UCONN legend. About 5 years ago or so I saw him run pick up ball and he was still bustin ass. He was a ferocious competitor.

Hanson and Thompson played over thirty years ago. They played in Europe and had a 1/2 cup of coffee with an NBA team. What does that have to do with anything?

Just seeing those old pictures of Tony bring back so many memories of high school. He made basketball look so effortless. He had that sort of a 'fro, but it wasn't round like the many of the other ones at the time. The ends were sort of stright so when he ran down the court it had this rhythmic bounce to it. Almost hypnotic. The Holy Cross gym was pretty small compared to the UConn fieldhouse at the time, so everyone was packed like sardines screaming...pretty wild. I miss the 70s :(

david hanson works at my school now, and his mom is the deputy head, and tony came in and did a speech about his life, great person :))
