I guess the same reason Big 10 teams don't come and play down south. Tennessee and Vandy have played against the Big 10 somewhat.

I can't speak for SEC, but I'm sure the answer is similar to UT. I've listened to the last 2 UT ADs take that question on "Vol Calls". UT doesn't look to play Big Ten teams because SEC teams often end up matched up with them in Bowl Games. Typically, UT looks for a "Cross-Country" match-up. Notre Dame is the exception. Off the top of my head, I think UT has played everyone in the Big 10 in bowls during my lifetime except Mich St. and Minnesota. I'd have to check for accuracy.

they will but the other sec schools will not go there later in the season because of the weather. that is the problem that we are having with Bama, we can't play they early because of long time commitments, if Bama will play us late in the year it is on, they don't want to be in south bend late in the year.

UT-Notre Dame have had a couple of really good games late in the year.

Those teams wouldn't last in the snow they'd become snowmen.
