Get an Indy venue for sure. You could host at Hinkle or maybe North Central. That will draw 10K+.

I am sure Jordan knows about the craziness being from Kentucky, but to Eli, DeAndre & Jamarcus, I hope you see how much we love our Hoosiers here. Its always a lot to take in for people not familiar with the tradition, but I have no doubt you will take it in stride. Welcome and Good Luck.

I am excited to see Jamarcus and Eli the most at this point.

Man even your pick up games draw more than our regular games (except the women's team!) We realize we will always be your doormat. We talk about your living in the past yet our laurels rest pre 1950. We bow and respect your national prowess. Please respect our record, too, of the least number of NCAA championships in the B10.

I predict a torn ACL coming soon on this idiotic tour. Probably just drafting high school kids to do their homework. All the while, Coach Kelvin is giving high school students a quick lesson on high speed texting.

Oh Pete... that's so cute the way you mask your fear with baseless insults. Notice that there are no IU fans trolling the Purdue articles, bashing Purdue's recruiting class. Compensating for something?

As for Myles... yeah, good one. The kid grew up in a rough neighborhood and got shot. That means he carries guns! What a clever bunch we're attracting here today!

By the way, when is the Purdue barnstorming tour? I'm sure tens of people outside of the West Lafayette area are eager to see Purdue's recruits, right?

It must be neat to live in a total fantasy world.

“Small dose of common sense.”

You must've misread the article. These are BASKETBALL recruits. I think you're maybe thinking of football...

Serious question here: Aren't there any NCAA rules being at least brushed up against here??

Someone's making money off these games and these players, even if it is a respectable cause. And these players tecnhically aren't even required to do anything athletically for Indiana yet, so I hope it is completely voluntary that they play.

I am just wondering.

I love college basketball...its the top level for B-Ball. Can't wait for it to get started. The NBA is nothing more than the WWF in disguse.

How can a possible recruit (Bud Mackey) play in this game and not some sort of violation? Just wondering if anybody knows the rules? Sounds like it shouldn't be legal.

Chris,

They don't troll our articles, because the star doesn't report anything on us.

well since Bud Mackey is only an oral commitment for 2008, i'd say it's entirely voluntary. It might be "suggested," but no way you could make someone go to this if they haven't even signed yet.

Well one year for Gordon. After that he'll be getting paid millions while your not good enough flunkees will still be in school trying to hang on with their 6th year medical redshirt and still haven't graduated...

What does that tell you? It tells me that the Indy Star reports what a majority of its readers want to read, and merely panders to the minority with an occasional article.

NBA is better than college basketball, I dont know why everybody tries to argue that fact. I like watching teams I know players on, but all the other teams are garbage unless they pull in big time recruits.
