Yeah I think as long as they garner some offense they'll win. Their Defense is top notch. But they must do better than 4 field goals. And Texas is gunna beat whoever they play in the NC.

This game comes down to who can play offense....Neither is good, one is just horrible so I expect Bama to win because they can at least run the ball and I think that will be good enough. I think LSU will be looking for the run but I am not sure that they will completely shut it down and Bama has a QB that is slightly better and should be able to do just enough to keep their D honest.

If Bama can muster some points, Bama will win. They have better ball control/running game. LSU will show up though so this should be a good one!!

I don't think anyone wants to play Texas riht now.

Good assessment Dan, what happened with your prediction of Georgia upsetting Florida, Big Dan? I was looking for a good game!

Those Damn Black Helmuts..........everytime Georgia wears black or something, it kills them. They played bad, and getting everyone back on D helped too. By the way, Florida is a dirty team, Spikes should be out for the rest of the season.

Those black helmets have NOTHING to do with Florida kicking Georgia's a$$!!!.....NOTHING AT ALL!!! Spikes, however, should be kicked off the team. He could've put his eyes out by gouging.......1/2 game against Vanderbilt is just a slap on the wrist. Make him miss the rest of the season at least..........

Mark,
That's not a very nice thing to say about Artie. He's not some "bandwagon" fan from Idaho. He's actually a Louisiana native!

My computer/Internet Severice Provider might be through or from Idaho. But, I'm certainly not! I was born and raised in Lousiana. I've been a fan ever since 1969 when Bert Jones played for LSU and suffered during our really down years in the nineties with Dinardo and Hallman. FACT! I BLEED PURPLE AND GOLD, DUDE! I don't know why my ISP on this Topix site says Rupert, Idaho. That's the crazyiest thing!!!:) LOL :)

They've made a movie about old Nick, "Blindside"! You remember ULM 21 - 14 over Alabama 10 months after he took the Alabama job, don't you? And on Friday, Nov. 20, nearly two years to the day of perhaps his worst moment as a coach — ULM 21, Alabama 14 — the movie "Blind Side" debuts in theaters across the country with a cameo by Saban and other SEC coaches.
"Blind Side" is the story of former Ole Miss offensive tackle Michael Oher, who grew up in poverty before former Ole Miss basketball player Sean Tuohy, a New Orleans native, and his wife Leigh Anne opened their Memphis home to him and adopted him. Oher then became one of the most hotly recruited players in the country in the 2004-05 recruiting season. Saban appears in the movie on a recruiting trip to Oher's home as LSU's coach in his last season in 2004 before leaving for the Miami Dolphins. Oher was the first-round pick of the Baltimore Ravens in the last NFL Draft.
Actor Tim McGraw, a Delhi native who attended ULM on a baseball scholarship in the 1980s, plays Tuohy, and Sandra Bullock plays his wife. Bullock says Saban is handsome in the movie trailers currently playing on television.
"That was really what Leigh Anne said when I came to the house," Saban said this week. "That was in the book."
Leigh Anne also commented over the summer that Saban was vain. When Saban at first did not want to be in the movie, she said she told him, "You'd better play yourself. If you don't, I'm going to find a short, ugly guy to play you."
Saban, who knew the Tuohys because they are friends with his Memphis agent Jimmy Sexton, later agreed to do the movie.
(2 of 2)
"You know how vain Nick is," Mrs. Tuohy said. " He probably thought about it and said,'I'd better play myself.'"

McGraw said on an SEC football television show recently that of the coaches in the movie, including Lou Holtz, Houston Nutt, Ed Orgeron and Phillip Fulmer, that Saban clearly sounded and looked the best on camera.
"It was scary," McGraw said.
Bullock said that one coach stood out on camera over the others but would not say which one.
Saban, who signed two nationally No. 1 ranked classes at LSU and two at Alabama, said he had the director change his recruiting lines.
"I really wouldn't say this if I was recruiting a player," Saban said he told the director. "This is what I'd say and how I'd say it. And he said,'Say it however you want to say it.'"
Saban said he was concerned with what Alabama fans would think about him in a movie as LSU's coach.
"My heart's here," he said this week, "and nobody has to worry about any of that stuff, especially this week."
MILES PASSES SABAN: LSU coach Les Miles is not in "Blind Side," but he did pass Saban on LSU's career wins list with the Tigers' 42-0 victory over Tulane on Saturday.
Miles has 49 wins for third place in school history. Saban went 48-17 in five seasons from 2000-04 at LSU after replacing Gerry DiNardo, who was 6-15 in his last two seasons. Miles is 49-12 in his fifth season after replacing Saban, who was 22-4 in his last two seasons.
Charles McClendon is LSU's all-time winning coach at 137-59-7. Bernie Moore is second at 89-39-6.
PRODIGAL PARSONS RETURNS: Redshirt freshman fullback Thomas Parsons of Canyon Lake, Texas, played for the first time this season against Tulane. He opened the season on a five-game suspension for undisclosed reasons.
"He hit the right guy three quarters of the time and blocked him 90 percent of the time," Miles said. "So he's not quite there. We have some work to do, but his efforts were encouraging. And we feel like he'll get some more opportunities."
LSU has used six fullbacks this season — true freshman Dominique Allen, junior Richard Dugas, sophomore James Stampley, senior Charles Scott, sophomore Stevan Ridley and Parsons. Allen is listed as the starter.

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Cancer

You feel the urge to move onward, powered by your wisdom: when you're right, you're right. You may feel that any further explanation is unnecessary, but the people you're dealing with might need it spelled out for them. Take the time to draw a picture or use smaller vocabulary words to get your point across, Cancer. A public demonstration will probably prove to be the last word on the subject.
