Should be a great game to watch no matter who wins. Vandenberg is inexperienced but talented. Go Hawkeyes!

Remember that young, inexperienced QB from Southern Cal ....playing his first game on the road in THE SHOE.....Hopefully the Buckeyes have a few more games under the belt than the next freshman QB playing his very first game on the road in THE SHOE..Difference is ,this one has a much better team around him on both sides of the ball..Will be interesting to see how much the Buckeyes have learned since then

Tim,
Perhaps the reason in the Penn State win last week the big 60+yard touchdown pass was successful because of the fact NOBODY expected it. Out of 28 first downs,20 were up the middle runs between the tackles. Tressel seems to be able to win many games this way, at least in the Big Ten. But when we play in the BCS, it isn't so easy!
PS Don't get me wrong we really like Tressel for the kids as a great role model, but we would like to see more creative play calling! Just a thought.

Pryor successfully completed Step 1 on his comeback from a major fall from grace (aka THEE Purdue game).

Now, in Step 2, he faces possibly even a tougher defense than PSU. So a win here vs. Iowa moves him even closer to redemption.

Step 3 will be a test in the Big House against a reeling RichRod team. Pryor should have his way against that smelly defense RR puts on the field week-to-week.

Step 4 could be a rematch against USC in the Rose Bowl - basically a home game for them. Pryor may reach full redemption if he can lead the Bucks to a BCS Bowl win and break the stranglehold USC has had on the Big 10 for some time.

Good luck, Pryor! We hope you succeed!

If Tressel is so kind and thoughtful then why dosen't he put his players before himself. He's always looking out for himself like last season when he benched Boeckman. You can say whatever you want to say about Urban Myer but at least he stands by his players (unlike some people!)

Yeah, hopefully TP has his head screwed on straight for this game! That would certainly be a first.

It won't even be close. Beat Iowa by 20+, UM by 30 or more, and win the rose bowl! Pryor is going to dominate!!

Forget about OSU and Iowa we all know that the Bucs are goin to the Rose Bowl to stomp the Ducks. TP rocks! The real deal is the beat down that the STEELERS are gonna put on the Bungals this week.

Hoping for a solid game, with everyone coming out healthy. I expect a fight from Iowa, but expect the Bucks to close them out by the 2nd half.
After it's all said and done, somehow the Rose Bowl just feels right.

Yeah, Urban Meyer stands behind his guys. Do you really think that if a Buckeye were caught trying to gouge out an opponents eyes, that Jim Tressel wouldn't sit him out for more than a half? If that's what you think, then your post shows how idiotic some people can be

I think the Ducks will blow it against Arizona and let USC back into the Rose Bowl. Ore-gone is just not a good road team. Anyway, I sure hope we get another crack at those arrogant Hollywood SOBs.

Think it will be a good game, but the bucks should have a confortable lead by the end of the 3rd qtr. Even with Stanzi in the game the Hawkeyes have been flirting with a loss just about every game. Good luck to both teams and hope for it to be injury free. The only other comment I have is GO GET EM BUCKS!!!!!!!!!!

We should beat Iowa... I think the Bucks are ready to roll.

But let us not forget Michigan has played the spoiler before... we are not out of the woods yet.

I just hope that whatever JT did to motivate the team.. it carries it through till after the Rose Bowl! I can't take another Bowl loss!

Actually he does. He is willing to put his neck on the line for his players. If it was Pryor Tressel wouldn't sit him out.

Daily Horoscope for January 4

Taurus

If your goals are fairly modest in the short term, they are achievable and you're likely to get some praise for achievements along the way. If you aim too high too quickly, others might not take you seriously or think you're being uppity and you could come unstuck. It's all a question of attitude and approach. There are contradictory influences over the next ten days but there could also be good luck coming your way.
