Good job Kai! You're our best offensive weapon and the greatest Bruin kicker since UCLA All-American John Lee in 1986. He was a great one and when you break his record you will be too!

Oregon State is probably better than any of the remaining teams (including USC) and the Bruins actually controlled the game and should have put it away earlier had Kai been on target. Brehaut showed that he could actually pull a game out when forced to pass, which hasn't been the case since Drew Olson played QB in 2005. Remember, he was highly touted as a recruit (4 stars accordings to RIVALS) and considered a catch for the Bruins (certainly more so than Prince). I may see a bit of Cade McNown or Tom Ramsey (winning UCLA QB's from the 80's and 90's) in Richard. The number of young players getting experience, especially freshmen, means that the team will only get better in the future. If they can make the plays they did last week against OSU while so green and inexperienced, the team will only fare better in the Pac-12 when the schedule doesn't include the Ducks next year. I expect a win in Husky Stadium next week. However, given how this team has performed, I know others are expecting to be let down. Go Bruins!

I was at the game and agree with your assessment. Brehaut also is looking more comfortable in his decision making in the pistol by actually keeping the ball and running with it. That along keeps the defense second guessing who and where and allowed Franklin to get some good chunks of yardage! GO BRUINS

GO BRUINS Agree Brehaut is looking much more comfortable in the pocket, I was shocked to see Forbath miss two field goals. Washington will be a real test for Brehaut and the defense. Friday Basketball starts I'm hoping this will be a breakout season for the kids. 11 freshmen and So.'s very young team.

Malcolm Lee and Jerime Anderson are actually juniors, all that is left from the supposed "#1 ranked" recruiting class of 2008. Jrue Holiday is the only player from that class that has proven himself (now in the NBA) to this point. I watched the exhibition against CSULA last night and Josh Smith and Tyler Lamb look like the real deal, along with last year's standout freshmen Reeves Nelson and Tyler Honeycutt. This team will certainly improve on the 14-18 record of last year, and the Pac-10 isn't particularly deep, so they may be one of the 2 or 3 teams that make the tourney this year.

I love Reeves Nelson a good blue collar player, Josh Smith and Tyler Lamb good aircraft carriers, need the 3 pointer this year, bust up the zone.

UCLA Basketball has a very glorified past I will admit, but what have they done lately. USC is NOT expected to sweep UCLA, but last year we did. USC is never expected to win the Pac10. I say we have been moving upward in basketball in the last decade to give yout (B)ruin boys fits. UCLA is consider THE basketball school around here and one of the best in the country. 14-18 definitely looks like underachieving, just as the USC football program is considered having an "off" year when we ONLY win 8 games.(B)ruins are elated when your football team wins 6 games in a season. Your boys better hope you at least split with the Trojan basketball team this year if you are to achieve your so-called "improvement" season this year. USC - BEATING THE (B)RUINS IN FOOTBALL AND BASKETBALL

USC - BEATING THE (B)RUINS IN FOOTBALL AND BASKETBALL Even if you consider only the last 10 years when UCLA suffered under coaches like Steve Lavin, UCLA is 20-8 in the NCAA tournament, while USC is 6-5. USC did not win a single tournament game with perhaps their best player in recent history, O.J. Mayo, while UCLA went to the Final Four with Kevin Love. Ben Howland has been in the NCAA Tournament 5 out of his 7 years, including three final fours, Kevin O'Neill has yet to see the tourney. There is a good reason why UCLA was picked to finish 3rd and USC was picked to finish 6th by the Pac-10 sportswriters. Admittedly, if the Bruins do somehow get swept by the Trojans in basketball this year it will be a major underachievement, but anyone can clearly see that this year's version of UCLA Basketball is deeper, better and superior to last year's.

Forbath's 51-yarder w/0 time remaining was one for the ages, that's for damned sure! And, in hindsight, UCLA had a chance to defeat Arizona the prior week as well.
Let's see how they hold up in Washington next Saturday.
And, who the eff cares anymore about B-Ball???

Only demoralized schools like OSU, ND, and UCLA are left for us FIGHT ON
