Deja vu all over again or did we just sign Jake Long? Could this be a repeat of last years first pick?

If true, outstanding news! The first really big step in rebuilding the offensive line. He has the potential to be a long-time pillar of the OL, and at 6-7 will be a force to deal with. Plus, I love his mean streak! We need tough guys to protect Beck and open gaping holes for our running backs.

Fins need a miracle. This guy isn't worth the #1 pick and at the same time paying him $30 million guaranteed. HAHHAHAHA. Good luck.

With so many positions in need of repair on this team(all of them!) it was pretty difficult for Miami to screw this up; as they have in prior years - last year to be exact... for those with a short term memory.
Not a flashy position of running, catching or throwing, but atleast Miami had matured enough to realize there are indeed OTHER important positions, that makea team from good to great.
welcome Jake.
Well done Miami and good luck in the Draft this weekend.

*yawn* what a bad year to pick #1 overall. Joe Thomas was a better collegiate OLineman than Long and he went #3 last year. Just the Fins' luck.

Right after the announcement you can expect to hear that Jake Long was picked up by the BSO for DUI.

That will officially start his tenure as a Dolphin and let him fit in with his new mates!

Enjoy the cellar Jake!!

Where are all of the nay sayers?? I guess they will be around sooner or later to tell us how bad of a pick this was. Thats probably why they are on a NFL forum instead of being employed by the NFL.
