he may be a great player, a good kid, and all else everyone say he is.... but the d.a. is coming across as bias. My question is: would ANYONE ELSE, with no status in this community, gotten the same treatment? Hmmmmm?

At worst, he is guilty of poor judgment. But then again, 99% of you would help out a relative in need just the same. Happens all the time in this city.
Oh silly naive one. Do you really think alittle word play would have saved Stefon had he not been an athlete?

All these complaints about the legal system failing us, it all falls on deaf ears. The decision is final. Let's just be happy UTEP can continue with a promising new season beginning in November.

Better open up that other eye and see this happens everywhere regardless of team affiliation, amateur or professional status or even profession for that matter. Brett Favre abused illegal medication prescribed to him by a physician but he's a hero. Packer football took precedence. Phil Spector murdered Lana Clarkson and walks the streets of L.A. Rock & Roll took precedence. John Wayne was never prosecuted for draft-dodging WWII but he's also an American hero. America's ego took precedence. Go Miners!
Yes it is..

Oh silly cynical one... Lawyers always get charges dropped from their clients on word play and technicalities.

Oh way to naive to be conscious one, those tactics are very successful for the connected with their expensive high powered, well connected lawyers, who can resolve their case on the golf course or at the $300 plate benefit. But reality shows that option doesn't work so well for the unwashed masses with their cheaper dimwitted lawyers.

Stefon is a great player, but if ever wants to make it in the NBA he needs to get a felony charge to stick. How's it going to look if he show's up to the NBA without a conviction?
Too funny. LOL

What all of you do not understand is that Sheriff's department did not tell Jackson that his cousin was a felon, therefore he would have the opportunity to turn his cousin over, and then the Sheriff's department would have proof that he knew. Deal with the facts people. If you were in the same situation, you'd want the facts on your side. Stop being idiots and racist fools. Congrats to Jackson.

Behind him, my buttocks. This is just beginning; we`ll be seeing Jackson“s face on a wanted poster in the Post Office before he makes it to Wheaties. Shame on Esparza and Barbey.
