The quaterback is the most important position in football,so the news does'nt look very promising for the Bruins at this time. Maybe Chow can pull a ribbit out of the hat and turn one of the remaining QBs into a Carson Palmer or Matt Lineart.

I guess we will find out if all our excitement about Chow is warranted.

Was it the QB's at usc or was it Chow -- as he reportedly claimed.

Well now "Olskool", only Coach Chow could pull a "ribbit" out of his hat and turn it into a "Prince" of a Quarterback. Oh, and "Gardena Bob", Coach Chow's record of QB development tracks all the way back to BYU. You might want to remember that, "It ain't braggin if'n you can do it".

doesnt really matter UCLA is the Jv team in Los Angeles - they might have a good season here and there but as a program, football is not a priority.....until it is a priority be proud of that 1954 shared national title...stick with basketball and getting bounced in the final 4.....go trojans

Here we go again with Manhattan Beach Dude spreading his words of wisdom.

Yes UCLA did share the title, but not unlike sC's 1939 " championship", Remember when in 2004 "Without playing a down, the Trojans claimed another championship. Athletic director Mike Garrett said the Trojans were claiming the 1939 title, even though Texas A&M was ranked No.1 by the Associated Press." See sc can just say it's theirs 65 yrs later. Keep looking mike I'm sure your "find" more.

There must be something else to this story. Why do they need Prince to come in early if Ben will be ready for Fall practice? Also you have Forcier and Crissman, why do you need a red-shirt freshman to come in early and get no practice snaps?

Since when did universitry admission depend on knee surgery? A student does not need fully functional knees to go to classes, take notes, do papers and take tests. But then, that's not the point about this particular student, is it? What a laugh. I am ashamed that my taxes support such a travesty in public "education".

Kevin has outstanding leadership and poise. He was able to get a scholarship to UCLA without playing a full game his senior year. I back him up all the way even though i am a USC fan.

I can see another great year of rivalry in Southern California forming. The Quarterback's Club will be abuzz with all the adrenalin every Friday at Brookside. Let the Games begin.

Funny how ucla fans brag about how hard it is to get into ucla these days....but the new reality is that is actually harder to get into USC and that is FACT.

Official! USC harder to get into than UCLA: 21% to 22.7%(sourced to both schools)

It had been trending this way for years, but it officially happened in 2008.

Looking at both 2008 press releases:

UCLA (4/14/2008):

"the university was able to admit 22.7 percent of all those who applied, compared with 23.6 percent last year."

Source: http://newsroom.ucla.edu/portal/ucla...igh-48...

USC (03/28/08):

"21.0 percent were accepted this year, compared to 24.8 percent in 2007."

Source: http://www.usc.edu/uscnews/stories/15027.html

ucla only lower entrance requirements for their atheletes.
