Irish eyes aren't smiling

i loved this game, not only because it was against notre dame but also because its the first game in about 3 or four weeks where both sides of the ball played well. hopefully they keep it going and see how far we can go... Fight On!!!

At least Notre Dame can't lose next week...

I have been a huge fan of notre dame for practically my whole life and I am absolutely embarrased by what I have seen this year. I was a huge supporter of Charlie Weis, but now I have to admit he must go. I keep hearing no talent no talent no talent, but the truth is Notre Dame always has high ranking recruit class every year. The blame needs to be placed on Charlie. The Irish will never rebound under him and thats a fact he must go

I would love to see the departure of Charlie Weis. He is a disgusting, vile influence on the students and the program. Would you want to play under him?

The only way we could be having more fun is if Notre Dame was 0-8. GO BOILERS!!!!

The Iwish may squeek out a win now that the cupcakes part of their schedule is here. Then they'll be taking national champs again.

Charlie looked like a deer in the headlights when they tried to get a comment from him at half time yesterday. I don't think he has a clue.

The stupid Notre Dumb fans told us their team was going to win out? Glad that didn't happen.

In two weeks, they get to play Navy, whom Notre Dumb never allows to play at home.

Easy to beat a team when you never have to play the team at their own park.

ND has alot of very YOUNG guys playing right now..... They WERE NOT getting top recruiting classes under Ty Willingham, that didn't start until Weiss got there.

So you want to fire a guy after 1 down season?

Thats pathetic, it takes 5 years to rebuild a program.

Weiss isn't going anywhere...Count on that.

another "wait till next year, and the years after" nd apologizer. cheer up, you have several cream puff wins to brag about coming up.
a win over duke will make charlie a hero again, at least for a week.

Why rebuild? Obviously Willingham was not a total slouch when it came to recruiting. He brought in Quinn, Samardjza, Zbikowski, and most of the players Weis won with over the past two years. Willingham is making great strides with a Washington program that was farther down than Notre Dame will ever be. According to ESPN there were 24 high school All Americans on USC's team and 21 on Notre Dame's in yesterday's game. Where is the development? Isn't Weis the guy who molded and shaped Tom Brady at New England?

What people fail to acknowledge is the fact that Notre Dame has more talent than 75% of the teams out there today. This is not Marshall after the plane crash, playing with walk ons and whatnot. Florida Atlantic started their football program FROM SCRATCH six years ago. They are 4-3 this year. Oklahoma lost their starting quarterback before the season and lost their running back in the first game last year and went on to reach the Fiesta Bowl, just barely losing that game. USC, Florida, and LSU do not seem to have any trouble reloading after their seniors graduate. Why Notre Dame?

I think it is poor coaching. There were screams when Bob Davie and Ty Willingham got blown out and shut out. Why does Weis get the slack? Next year will be the real test. I think N.D. will win their last four games. When that happens, watch out, the hype will start again and it will only get worse by next season's kickoff. If Weis fails to field a competitive team then, both he and A.D. Kevin White should be shown the door.

I now understand why Charlie Weis fought so hard to win his medical malpractice claims. He was probably counting on that money once the Irish get smart enough to fire him. It's not "Win one for the Gipper anymore." It's "Win one for Charlie so he can feed his family." Have a great day!

THey fired Ty before the end of his contract, first time in ND history. They never gave him the chances your asking the fans to give Weis. Heck, IU could beat ND this year and we suck.

Who could blame Navy if they run up the score this year?
