I think you're underestimating the USC fan base. Us true fans will still be here. We suffered through the nasty-90s and were still there. College football is all cyclical, so this "dancing on the grave" stuff is ridiculous. We may not be as good as we were during Carroll's heyday, but we'll eventually be back.

Yeah but think about how it was 2 years ago. There were USC fans coming out of the wood work on here. Now we find out who the real fans are. Looks like you are alone at the moment. I know that Joe was a real fan but the others are moronic children and they are the reason for dancing on the grave. I liked it when USC was a team that was respectable, thats if they were good or bad. They weren't very respectable under Pete even though they were good. There was always a cloud over the program. They used to be one of the few teams that actually did things right and held themself to a higher standard and I hope they get back to that. I think the new AD can make it that way again.

Usually the loudest ones are the idiots of the group and I don't attribute their behavior to the rest. Otherwise, what would my opinion be of LSU fans based on the babbling of one lunatic commenter on here?

Well it should make you pull hard for those coming in and trying to restore the name and image. I don't fault someone for being a USC fan. It's the ones that became a fan because of winning and corruption and then bragging about it that I can't stand. If you are winning the right way, you never have to excuse poor behavior.
I am willing to look past the problems that USC has had because I love our rivalry, not sure i can yet because Kiffin isn't any better than Pete and his one and only year at Tennessee proved that, he was thumbing his nose at the system there. Maybe he will learn from his mistakes and he has so far done nothing since he has been at USC to make me think otherwise. I just think that "the swamp hasn't fully been drained". To qoute another Californian.

I hear ya, BD. I want to see SC rise to the top again and earn that respect that was never given. I feel the same about fans becoming fans of consistent winning teams, but you find that every where. I grew up with 4 older brothers so their favorite teams became mine, kinda like the music, classic rock it's in the blood ;)

What, you mean like all the new/previously hidden Phillies and Yankees fans that seemed to sprout up around LA overnight? Yah, I have far greater respect for Cubs and Astros fans than the fair-weather fans.

I'm a Cub fan and it has been a rough year. We beat great teams and get smacked around by bottom feeders. I'm almost ready to say, wait for next year, I'm holding out to the last minute.
