By gosh, LSU was playing the #1 Scoring Defense in the nation with the youngest starting quarterback in the SEC. Jefferson will get better. This was only his 8th start as a Tiger. Being the biggest game in my lifetime in Tiger Stadium along with the 1959 game with Billy Cannon returning that 89 yard punt against Ole Miss on Halloween night, I would say Jefferson was a little nervous. He usually has ice in his veins. But, this was the largest crowd in Tiger Stadium history and we were playing the #1 team in the nation (ranked #4 ourselves). In 1959, it was reversed, LSU was ranked #1 and Ole Miss was ranked #3; and LSU won 7-3 on Billy Cannon's punt return; and his stop on 4th down for Ole Miss at the doorsteps of LSU's goal line. I was only 3 years old then; and I didn't even know about that until about 10 years after it happened. I was at the LSU-Florida game, though, and our defense played great. Jefferson and our offense is capable. The offense (Jefferson) needs to just settle down. I believe they're better than everyone gives them credit for.

They say that LSU is over-rated. But, there is at least one thing thast you just can't rate; and that is heart!!! LSU has heart! Our team was rebuilding last year; and I would be the first to admit that we didn't have heart last year. There was no real senior leadership. This year, we have a few more leaders that will get us out of this offensive delemma; and we'll move right on......Scott and Lafell being two of them. Jefferson will settle down now that he's got the biggest game in the last 50 years in Tigers Stadium out of the way and on his resume. Geaux Tigers!!!

Again I take my losses well you make a ton of excuses. If they were so great in scoring defense why did Arkie put up more on Florida than you?
