Although, Marshall won out vs. UAB. Marshall's performance in the second half was not good against a team that was a 14 point underdog. let's face it Marshall's program is headed in the wrong direction. It can't compete against teams like WVU, Miami and Cincinnati. We are now the "cup cake team on the schedule. In the 90's Marshall was the team that the major college teams did not want to play. Bob Pruett had us competing for the MAC title every year. We are now at the bottom of Conference USA. I am embarrassed when I see Marshall play on ESPN. This once proud team looks undisciplined and poorly coached. I realize the Mark Snyder is a nice guy and Alum but if he can't win and cannot recruit we need a new head coach. The football program put Marshall on the Map and generated important revenue for the University. As a former Alum who has supported our great University for years. Let's make a change now. Snyder has to go at the end of another losing season.

I agree totally. We have not had a winning season since Snyder came into the picture. Is the university blind or just don't care about the program? It's a shame to watch us on national tv and look like a high school team. Get rid of him, he had his chance-move on. How can we recruit when we win 3 games? And he just signed a contract extension thru 2013!!! Maybe our basketball team will have to carry the school now.

I think my cousin, Bernard Morris did a wonderful job playing QB for Marshall and no one ever mentions that.

That's because he wasn't very good in the beginning and it was a toss up between he and Skinner....then as Morris got better the team got worse. That's why he isn't as reckognized as he should be...

I think that the Nfl need to take a closer look at Bernard Morris. Yes he may have made a mistake but he has also learned from that mistake and has taken a different look at life in general. He was a wonderful leader for his teamates and remained out of troulbe the rest of his time in college and divoted his life to being a great quater back and team leader for the thundering herd. I was surpized to see that he won MVP of the Hula bowl game because it was not mentioned by the media until the draft. Bernad is a wonderful person with a big heart and everything that happened in that situation was not reported as it really happened, so with that said everyone deserves a second chance and if granted they will not be disappointed.

I gave Snyder 4 years...4 years to make the program a winning program again. I didn't blame him for the 1st season, it wasn't fair he was signed with 2 days left of spring practice. Bob Pruett was a great coach but left too suddenly and with NCAA violations i do believe we had some scholarships still suspended. I don't blame him for that.
The second year, was just bad...i was hoping for an upset of West VA and it was possible. Bernard Morris was one of the better players on the roster because he was a dual threat and showed he can not only run but throw against WVU in 2007. If anything i'd love for us to be the team big name schools dread playing...i love nothing more than gaining respect from Big Ten and Twelve fans because they know and respect our football! |
