4/21/08:
"The concerns about Smith are his speed -- he ran a 4.53 at the combine and a 4.47 at his Pro Day -- his one-game suspension in 2006 for missing curfew, his stops for no gain or a loss -- 89 in 2007 -- and the fact that UCF plays in Conference USA."

O'Leary set him up for this moment. Snap, ball to Kevin, snap ball to Kevin etc. etc. He used Kevin to prop up a weak team and did not build his skill sets. Someone will take him today and give him the proper training he needs and perhaps he will shine in the future.

Congrat's to the Coaching of the two RB's from Conference USA that were selected in the first & second rounds.

If the fact that UCF plays in a weak Conference USA has hindered K Smith, then why did 2 CUSA RBs and and 1 CUSA WR (the 1st WR drafted) get drafted in the first 2 rounds? And FYI...UCF's passing offense was actually 44% of the total offense LY. Not bad for a weak team that won 10 games and ended up in the Top 40 in Div I football.

1) The Conference USA issue is closed. Google on it and read for days. Move on now, jump jump move on now.

2) The Conference USA RB's that were picked in the first & second draft were developed by coaching staffs into well rounded players. They were not used like a work horse to prop up a weak team. So yes, people who understood could look at the situation and see what was going on and with a crap conference there was no way to resolve the question.(Don't want to hear NC - they were junk in 2007 and Texas - look at the run details and USF - well well well).

I know, I know word in the UCF bubble is that nobody at the NFL knows what they are talking about bla bla bla, sure.

Congrat's Kevin you seem like a somewhat smart kid and now you you will have the support and direction to help you reach your full potential.

Really? Matt Forte of Tulane & the kid from ECU weren't used as the work horses of their offenses? Just remember, GOL took a kid that every other Div I coach wanted to make into a DB, and turned him into one of the top RBs from LY. I think the NFL got this pick right on.

Unfortunately, the Detroit Lions is a black hole NFL franchise. It's fitting that the Lions play at Ford Field. The Lions have a history of stalling, rolling over, and bursting into flames.

I'm sorry you can't deal with the real world issues I keep bringing up. But at least you can admit that. Why is it that in your bubble, you have this great obsession with UCF? And so LaKesha, how's Ralph?

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Cancer

Mercury turning retro is offering you the chance to make sweeping and long-lasting changes to your life, and to clear the ground for some fertile growth in 2010. Lawyers and legal matters, debates, contract negotiations, partnership or other alliances, and joint ventures of any kind need attention. As a Cancerian you don't like endings, but you must now bring an end to any situation or relationship that is holding you back or has passed its sell-by date. Look forward, not back, if you want a glittering future.
