Urban Meyer and the SEC needed to do this four days ago. It's funny that Spikes has to suspend himnself for the second half of the game.

It's about time!! I'm a firm believer that character is who you are when nobody else is watching. Thank goodness you came around, Brandon. Your coach and conference show little character at this point. Please continue to rise above their poor standards! It was the good and honorable thing to do, Brandon. Good for you!

Shame on Urban Meyer for suspending this kid for only one half! Florida might have a winning football program, but they are losers in character. And you can take that to the bank, Gator Gary. At least Brandon had enough character to do the right thing. Too bad it is against an inferior opponent, but at least, it is a full suspension.

Sure sounds like a conspiracy to see that Florida wins the BCS this year. Too many coincidences with all the lack luster play calling and now this.

What a joke. Sounds like Brer Rabbit pleading not to be thrown into the briar patch. Give the perp a three game suspension.

Yes, Eye-gouging is wrong. He said he was sorry. His apology was accepted. Let's move on. The GATORS play with INTENSITY. Something the Buckeyes certainly lack especially in BCS Bowl Games. Spikes plays with the same INTENSITY that Jack Tatum (OSU-1967-1971) played with. Hopefully your Buckeyes will play with GATOR INTENSITY against Penn State. GO GATORS!!!

Wrong again.....there is a big differance in playing with intensity and just plain dirty....the Buckeyes had a linebacker by the name of Robert Reyonds....he was part of defenders bringing down a qb from Wisconsin....Reyonds was strangling their qb....the qb couldn't talk....Reyonds was suspended for 1 or 2 games....SEC is getting alot of press this year...refs on the payroll....coaches calling each other out....cheating.....assault on the field....yes your conference is far better than most, but it seems to me that your conference, coaches and players have a bulleye on their back

Let's move on? From the guy who continually posts "blasts from the past" on this blog site, on a daily basis!!! And what does intentional eye gouging have to do with INTENSITY???

Gator Gary needs to crawl back in his swamp! If the officals in the sec hadn't been paid off the Gators would have lost to Arkansas. A i/2 game suspension doesn't come close to what should be the penatly, and a longer one should have come from the sec offices.
Meyer and the University of Florida have lost their integrity and are taking lessons from that school up North (Florida State) and their characterless leader Bobby Bowden. Win at all cost. That would not have happen if Spurrier was there!!

Who cares. I think that it was very classy of Myer to suspend Spikes even though he didn't have to.

Scandalous. That poor kid is going to have Spikes fingerprint on his eyeball forever. He will think he is watching the intro to The X-Files the rest of his life....

Daily Horoscope for December 8

Aquarius

This is a good day for getting on with chores and mundane tasks. You'd much rather get them out of the way than have them hanging over you for any longer than necessary. What's more, you don't want to waste your time by doing things in the wrong order or by being so slapdash that you have to do something a second time. You're setting a terrific example right now!
