how come you are covering Penn st? Geez they were bound to rose bowl. Are you not representing NW?
Are you not going write a article now "Pat Fitz is going to ND" like all sportwriters use to do.. Gary Barentt, and if not for Tom willingham signing contract it would been Randy Walker?":
Well i tell you why? Because Pat Fitz is blood and soul of NW. You guys know that. That is why there was an distracting article from you on number of tickets sold by NW. When NW wins, you want to bring that article on tickets. Get use to it NW is going to win more games than ND and new years bowl games. See how Pat Fitz won 9 games. Now you guys want to keep mum and hoping there is losing season. Forget it.. Get use to it. Go ahead and cover Ohio state/Michigan. And All of chicago sports fan should really boycott tribune. What a negative coverage on ILL just because they had losing season. This is chicago area. NW and ILL should be covered. Not second tier Penn state.. I have not read that article at all.
And BTW why NW payout for bowl game you picked on has lesser money than IOWA. NW beat IOWA. So are you IOWA fan? forget it. They have better bowl game than IOWA. I am hoping Pat Fitz reads this comment. I am sending to him on NW web site. At least he is aware of subtle games....So next time he is prepared to answer your question. Like who do you want to play in pick up game like NW education paid off? Come on even 10 years kids can answer that question Taking a pot shot at Pat Fitz..

If Penn st. has to play (gulp), Oregon St. as it's (reward?) on a fine season, It just makes college football all the more of a joke than it already is. Talk about finishing back where you started. Talk about a meaningless, rewardless, game. If Ore. St. beats Ore., Penn State, here's your reward: A game against a team you blew off the map, the #2 team in the conference, a team with 3 losses, a team ranked outside the top 10, a team that gives you no props if you win and all the scorn in the world if you lose. How screwed up is the college bowl system? Sometimes losing is better than winning. If Penn state lost to Ore. St. in the first match up, they'd be playing a bigger bowl game now.

USC is so upset. If they finish SECOND after LOSING to Ore. St., they will be STUCK playing Oklahoma or Texas in a blockbuster BCS Bowl game. Penn st. BEATS Ore. St. and WINS their conference and gets.... Ore. St. USC followers have got to be laughing hard over that one. Never was finishing 2nd so rewarding.

get used to scores like that state fans.... 9 wins (as mediocore as that is) can only happen about once every 15 years or so in east lansing. hope for your best case senario 5-7 season this year that will most likely be 3-9, and get back to normal for another 14 years.
