My my way of looking at things, Petkovic has not earned a starting nod over Darko.
It was more than one person's opinion on this site that if Darko brought a defensive presence and shot blocking to the team, he did not have to score a lot.
Well, he did guard the best big man most of the time and was in the top shot blockers all season, leading for a part of it. He was at times the only one on the team playing any defense at all. He also had good scoring early on quite a few games and then they stopped going to him. I think Darko could be more active and spirited but I can see that when he is active defensively and stops getting any offensive action, it could and does effect his game. I think it was effect mine, too. The same thing has happened quite a few times. So many people are ready to give his position to Randolph, who shows not much more defense than the other bigs with the Wolves, and now the foul-prone Petkovic gets the job without earning it. Who is next?
