Minnesota Timberwolves trade Quentin Richardson to Miami Heat f...

what the H>E>L>L is this CON guy doing .... creating salary cap flexibility for what ??.... there are no big name free agents who will come here .... and Q Richardson was in the last year of his deal and could actually help the team....so the new fast break offense takes away a guy who can run and gets another big guy who plods up and down the court to go with the plodding Love and Jefferson .... the free agents that are left this year are bums .... so basically every player that has been traded was given to the other team by CON and we have got nothing in return .... except for a Spanish point guard who averages 6 points a game and can't shoot anything other than a lay up .... and to top it off that little Spanish point guard wants to play for someone else ....CON is so bad he makes McHale look brilliant

God, I hope this is for some reason other than the player. This is like a McHale nightmare all over again. But I'm counting on Kahn to have a larger vision.

So what this really means is that we gave up our best cheerleader (Maddog) for nothing?!

On a serious note I am surprised that Cookie couldn't have been moved for a TPE & a 2nd rd pick and Bassy for any modest expiring.

Maybe they should trade Jefferson for nothing too - because his contract is much bigger. Then we could have two players on the roster instead of the three we have now.

you should try to pay attention .... any free agent worth a D>A>M>N will not come here....this money they claim to be saving for free agency is a joke....in other words Taylor and Con are really f-ing over the fans with a product that will be lucky to beat a couple of the local high school teams .... richardson was in the final year of his deal anyway ....oh sure that's how you rebuild a team you claim will be fast breaking .... by keeping Jefferson and Love (who neither play a lick of defense)to plod up and down the court with a 5'10" point guard you drafted at #6 .... wow , Con has me so excited with these moves

If you'e right about no free agent ever wanting to come to Minnesota, then why do you care about Richardson being traded? Under your scenario, we will never have any top players and will always suck.

BTW - Love is a good defender and a rebounding beast. We have a decent core with Al and Kevin. I'm willing to give "Con" more than 3 months to prove he can rebuild this team. After 3 years, if nothing has changed, I will be a "Con-Hater" as well.

I wonder if we can go out and bring Marco Jaric back too...oh the memories of those glory days are getting me giddy!!

quit being a HOMER...Love is TORCHED on defense, can't run and can't get his shot off down in the post....I will give you that he can rebound .... and he loves to twitter.... but he better do something being a top 1st round draft pick....I could care less if Richardson is here or not but why give someone that has value away for nothing ...especially someone who can actually help the squad.... that is CONman's favorite thing to do....trade away players (especially ones that fit the style of team you are claiming to have)for nothing but keep the ones who don't fit the style of team you are claiming to have .... some of us are bright enough to figure out that someone is full of S>H>I>T and hasn't a clue what he's doing....and that would be the CONman

Thank you 'K' for explaining this to the clueless wonders of the world. Why don't people understand you cannot fix the disaster of a roster McFail left behind in just one year and that it will take time?

It's nice to see an active GM, but there comes a point when it gets to be too much, I'm beginning to think he believes he's in a Fantasy Basketball League. Blount better not make the roster, but with Richardson's contract up at season's end I don't understand what the rush is to get rid of him...unless Kahn wants more ping pong balls in the hopper when they determine the draft (which may be what he's doing.) However, if that's the case, he should maybe be honest with the fans and admit it so we don't have to pony up the cash to watch an inferior team that really isn't interested in getting better this year. We won't be able to tell for a few years if there is a method to this madness or not, but for now I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

Fantasy....a Twolves drop running on KFAN states "this team may not play very well, but they will play hard this year" and that was a quote from Kahn....I would say ownership has been right upfront about their expectations this season.

If you are going to games this year with the expectation of this team actually competing in the West...time to check your hopes at the door. This is a complete tear-down of the most dysfunctional basketball team in the NBA from top to bottom.

Q isn't an answer to anything, it's good they moved him. He's not going to help young guys develop (except maybe their bong smoking skills) and they saved about 1.5mil on the books.

Love and Jefferson is a nice core, Flynn could be something and Rubio is an asset that other teams covet, whether they say it publicly or not. This season is a wash, and the groundwork for the future is being laid now.

I read it was to create salary cap room for BIG SPENDING in 2010 on the free agent market....who do they think they are kidding, a big name? PLEEEEASE! I find it actually humorous how they try and put together a team with gum and glue and expect to compete. I am a huge AJ and KL fan and Johnny Flynn could be cool. As for telling us they are saving for a big name free agent next year? I would like it better if they just told us they were done spending and we get what we get when we get it.

Dude settle down. You are truly clueless on this one but I understand your frustrations and lack of trust w/ the Wolves organization. Give it a chance aye? Rubio and Flynn were THE BEST 2 PLAYERS AVAILABLE at 5 and 6. What that part of that do you NOT understand? BOTH QR and Blunt are in the FINAL YEAR of their contract!

Problem is when Quentin Richardson was in the last year of his contract and this doesn't affect them in next years free agency puch.. It would help them this year.. It makes no sense to trade away good players for nothing

McFail (LOL) had nothing to do with Quentin Richardson.. He was a free agent pick up that never had a chance to even play for the Timberwolves

sure , Rubio is so good .... he averages 6 points a game .... geez, amazing .... you must not have read or heard when Khalid said Rubio is over rated .... let's see about our other point guard ... all 5'10" of him .... this is not high school or college .... all the guards in the NBA are bigger stronger and faster than what he has ever played against .... let's see now , how many under 6' point guards have been NBA studs ....
