Full story: South Florida Sun-Sentinel

It doesn't sound as if Dwayne is very impressed with the Jermaine Oneal deal. Riley better have something up his sleeve.

His comments makes sense. He sounds like Kobe a few years ago demanding the Lakers to upgrade or ship him out. I thinks it is best that he pushes Riley now and not waste time. Riley should show Wade his merchandise for Wade to buy his pitch. We are in for an exciting off season for the Heat then.

woww heat fans. you guys used to hail wade as a humble player. looks like he's let stardom get to him and he's becoming arrogant. Wade said,"They have to do everything they can to make sure they want me there for the future." he's the best the heat have had, not the nba.

I feel like my wife is going to leave me if I don't buy her the house she wants.
Trade him. Get something in return. Nothing like having a gun to your head after promising him over $100 million.

This is another non-story. The Heat can't do anything till July so lets concentrate on supporting BASEBALL and getting a new manager while this is the only sport going on now!

100 million fo this guy? there's people without homes, starving humans and we're worried about giving this a-hole 100 million dollars? I say let him walk and start all over again...enough is enough!

There is nothing arrogant about not wanting to waste the best years of your professional life on a team going nowhere. It IS up to the Heat to prove to Wade that they are making enough improvements for him to stay. It is MUCH easier for us to build around a current star than it would be to HOPE to land one those other "best the NBA has to offer" stars you mention and build around them. GET IT TOGETHER RILEY!!!

With the Heat's salary cap situation, there is no way they can bring sufficient talent to complement Wade.

I think he is gone!

The thing is they have until next year. It isn't like it's a make or break this year. It's make or break, but they can work it all the way through next year. The 20 year old will be improved next year. By 2 or 3 years he will be the age Wade was in his rookie year with the Heat. It will be interesting to see what they do with the draft pics. If Wade waits until next year to make a decision. I think the best move for all sides is to trade this year's pics and let the team develop, then see if you can make a big signing or trades next year. Plus it wouldn't hurt if they let me do some mind training with the team ;)

He's bluffing. Florida is one of the few states that has NO state income tax. If he signs a 6 year $120 million dollar deal with the Heat he will get to keep an extra $6 million dollars that he would have to pay in state income tax playing anywhere else.
This is just part of the cat and mouse game he is playing with Riley.
He's NOT going to go anywhere else and pay $6 million dollars in state income tax.
