DILBECK: Lakers teammates bail out on Kobe when he needed them ...

They were supposed to have learned this lesson by now. Were supposed to have relished the learning, felt they were a better team for it.

The question of the day- Did Kobe's teammates bail on him, or did Kobe revert to his ball-hog ways? I gotta take option 2...

1 for 7 in OT? C'mon.... Odom and Fisher were having great ballgames, but Kobe kept throwing up junk.

Steve, are you crazy. Do you understand basketball at all. Kobe wanted to be the hero ala MJ and Willis Reed. Kick the ball out to Sasha or Fisher, they were hot all game. He was selfish as usual. Stop kissing his butt

Poor Kobe, he was in such pain he could "only" hoist up 33 shots. It was a pain that allowed him to celebrate a made shot at the end of the half but prevented him from defending or passing. Fisher makes 3 threes, Odom some big time shots and then they never see the ball again. Jackson the zen of all whiners and blamers, blames his teammates or the refs, when the real blame is with the coach.

This is what happens when your bench doesn't get the playing time in the regular season.
And I'm not talking about 3 minutes here, 5 minutes, here, 2 minutes there.
They are not prepared to play when called upon.

Don't blame the players. Blame the coach and blame Kobe. If Kobe is a team leader he needs to step up and tell the guys "hey, my back is sore, I need you guys to step up. I'll be the decoy and you all score." Coach Jackson should have said "hey Fish, Pau and Lamar you're going to get the ball now." It's clear that Kobe would have normally made a couple of those shots had he not been hurt. Maybe he'll pass the ball more now. So much for confidence in your teammates Mr. MVP.

I almost died laughing when I read this article. Steve, you sure we were watching the same ball game??????

Kobe was the goat for the Lakers loss. Odom and Fisher are the players who kept them in the game, not Kobe.

Are you crazy? The team didn't bail out on Kobe, he turned in a ball hog. The ball stoppen moving whenever it touched his hands. Fish hit huge shots in the fourth and so did Lamar but in the overtime Kobe made up his mind to be the hero at the expense of a win. I've defended him for years but the truth is he's a ball hog at heart. When he passes we win if he hogs we lose. Too bad he'll never learn that. Kobe is so consumed with be the hero that he doesn't give these guys a chance. LO played harder than anyone on the team and his reward is to be trashed by the Coach and the "MVP". To bad it was a nice run. Jazz in 7.

You know your in disguise your no laker or kobe fan, unless your extremely upset by the last 2 losses and your just saying this out of frustration, otherwise stop hiding behind that name, no true fan would bail out on a team now.

Who wouldn't bail out on me. I'm a teammate back stabbin, ball hoggin, uneducated high school graduatin'(maybe), MJ wannabe-in, sexual assaultin, good lawyer havin, premadona ingrate. In fact, I don't even like myself. I am so lame, I had to jump on that pasty cow ho in Eagle Colorado.

Just remember, Jordan has six MVP's when Bird Majic, Barkley etc. were competing. I HAVE ONE THAT I HAD TO BEAT OUT A ROOKIE TO GET. I blow.
