The Clips are now well positioned with good talent and a workable rotation at all positions ... but they could still use an upgrade at SF ... perhaps they can get Ariza now???
... or the Clips can hang onto the salary flexibility and make a strong run at LeBron next year ... they can't say it ... but they might be thinking it ...
.... and given QRich's expiring contract next year, they may be able to do both ... get Ariza this year, and still make a strong run at LBJ next year ... that's what they really should do ...
Clippers make way for Griffin
Not to worry, Blake Griffin will have plenty of room to operate. The Clippers agreed to a deal Wednesday that will send power forward Zach Randolph to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for guard Quentin Richardson, according to two NBA sources with knowledge of the deal.
