Detroit is the but-hole of America!
Dumars ruined the Pistons. Billups for Iverson?
Rasheed - gone! I heard on tv this morning that BG is coming off the bench for Pistons and they said he's trying to move Prince.
All of that might be true, but when its all said and done - they are going to beat the hail out of the Bulls just like the Redwings did the Hawks.

Thats my point. If you have offensive troubles, you better play good defense in order to limit the other team's points or you wont have a chance. Coached basketball for 21 years and have always subscribed to this philosophy. Some of my best players were not great scorers, but they took a lot of pride in playing hard-nosed defense.
I also coached and will tell you that good scoring always trumps even the best of defenses. Bulls will be a scrappy Kirk Hinrich-esque losing team that will not make it to the playoffs. And if they do, get SWEPT. And you failed to mention one thing about your defensive team - did they win???? Question was Rhetorical.

<quoted text>Dumar's legacy rests with Stuckey. When he first traded Billups he thought there wouldn't be that much of a drop off with Iverson (big mistake). Billups went on to lead the Nuggets and give the champion Lakers a run for there money. Stuckey on the other hand was up and down at best, now, everyone said ok he must've done that because of Iverson's expiring contract....he must be preparing to make a run at the 2010 free agents. Not so....his big free agent move was to pick up BG? Ouch! And let Rasheed go, the guy that caused as many matchup problems as Prince. Now there's word out of Detroit that Prince is on the block. Dumars feels like a jerk cuz he turned the team over to someone who wasn't ready for that resposibility. Fact: the Pistons will barely make the playoffs if they even make it. He's off to a Jerry krauss type of rebuilding so far.
But what you failed to mention is that they are going to beat the Bulls. Bulls better not show up in the playoffs. Dumars signed Ben because he has talent - AND he did not want to see the Bulls improve which they would have.

Right. Which is why Phoenix keeps winning the title every year.

I'm starting to think you and Ben might have had a thing going. This is obviously very personal for you. Can't you just move to Detroit so you two can stay together?

He's an undersized runt of a 2 guard that can't guard anybody and has no handles. He shoots you out of as many games as he shoots you into, and he DESTROYS a teams offensive flow because he's a blackhole where the ball is concerned.(Once it goes in, it never comes back out) Let it go. It's over. Nothing to see here. Move on...

Based on that philsophy the score would be zero to zero. The bottom line is that as you are telling your team to play defense, you are also telling your team to score points when you have the ball. And if you don't have a player to score some points for you, you won't consistently win games.
