LOL well, atleast they chose Ferigno because he was the only one of his kind at the time. A freak of nature bigger than Arnold who at the time, was the $h!t.

and atleast he was only utilized as the beast portion....a solid leading role where he actually has dialogue instead of just grunts and groans would have been different LOL

<quoted text> That's just it, I think that is where it stops, your a celeb thats enough already, doesn't matter what you do as long as your well known and people like you. Some directors who have pride for their work will not put in paris hiltons, shaqs, and howards to do their job unless its a clever joke they are making with them.... Honestly I think the problem isn't the actors, some of these directors are horrible, I cant stand cheesy I really cant lol. Kids are great but let them have the cheesy shitty movies, I dont care what you have to do to make a good movie, just make it, get the right actors, right script, if it has to be gory fine, just as long as it doesn't suck, but please dont insult me with making hulk hogan, or shaq the star of the movie, there should be a kids rating so stupid adults dont waste their money.... the funny thing is you know there are adults who paid to go watch shazam, and were surprised they hated it, but their are cheesy adults who cant stand gore and cursing so thats fine for them I guess lol.
Ya, Once I see Justin Timber FLAKE or ANYONE from the teeny bopper 'music' scene on a movie....forget it. I realize real actors need to work too but, once I saw Kevin Spacey and Morgan Freeman with that punk Justin, I lost all kinds of respect for them. LOL

I mean, Actors can be selective too...

Movies like Shazam are geared toward kids so, I'll let that slip but, no way should these guys getting serious leading and dramatic roles.

Yeah very true, ultimately its the directors job to make sure the movie isn't a flop, his name goes on it, he gets the credit if the movie wins an oscar for best picture, hell I think he gets the oscar lol... Timberfake shouldn't star in anything, hes too pretty to be believable as a Man lol, more like GI jane... In fact he could have played GI Jane some people would believe him as a woman.

Well yeah Shazam geared towards kids, watched by many adults who then later criticized it and made jokes of it, and called it a flop and blah blah blah, how about asking what the kids thought about it? I tell ya we need that kids rating so adults just leave that movie alone all together.

Actors are all about the Benjamins too, they want to get pay as much as possible, Bruce willis, Samuel L Jackson, De Niro and other big names will take as many movie jobs as they can and I don't think they care who they work with either.

Yes but hes saying they are selective as to what movie they will do, some of these big time actors get a lot of projects thrown at them and they get to read the scripts and choose what they want to do, of course the money is always what its about, but some of these actors worry about how people view them so they can land future serious roles that pay big bucks.

I believe that used to be the case back in the 90's 80's and earlier not any more, now they just sign up, I mean they will give priority to blockbuster projects, but in between they will pull Samuel L Jackson and sign up for any movie he is ask to be a part of.
I felt that back then if You had big name and did low budget project You career was in jeopardy, plus they did charge 20 mil per movie, is a new trend with big name actors and is sign up for any project I don't think they read the scripts any more...lol

Some actors wont mind doing goof ball movies especially if they have a sense of humor, and just cause a movie is a flop doesn't mean that the actor thought it would be a flop, they probably thought it be good, I have heard this many times, when your in the lime light, its hard to know what sucks and what doesn't suck, your inside looking out, we are outside looking in waiting to be entertained, you wont know what the movie looks like until you see it...Of course do some actors have better judgement as to what role they should take absolutely, the up and coming actors are the ones who have to take any role they can get, but a guy like morgan freeman can pick and choose as I am sure he gets plenty of offers.

Well not all actors are the same, some retire early, some will do as you say do as many movies as they can, and some prefer quality over quantity.

I personally think, and this is my opinion from observation, that rules how actors with recognizable names do movies has change, they do more team up now then never before.

Back in the day, You would see main actors on their own films, now there are more collaborations, for example in the 80's and early to mid 90's a film like ocean's 11 would had never happen with some many known actors the salaries would had kill the movie before it even started.
