CP3 by far the best, Rose is not even close, Rose is more like a shooting guard, he thinks me first too many times.

Derek Rose too many dumb decisions and mistakes. CP3 is the man, we all saw what he did in the olympics and for the Clippers.

In my opinion: 1-rondo 2- CP3 3- Derron Williams 4- D. Rose 5- russel Westbrook
I think rose is good but vastly over rated. I think he is too much of a ball hog to be ranked top 3 point guard

I think he is too much of a ball hog to be ranked top 3 point guard When you look at true pg's you have to eliminate D. Williams, Rose and Westbrook from the list as they're all small sg's with so much talent you'd be foolish not to play them at all times in any situation. Rondo IMO plays lock down D and can get the offense started and can pace the C's the way Doc Rivers wants but, you can leave Rondo open on the perimeter and the poor guy has problems. He's also a poor free throw shooter so that makes him a liability late in games and history says a true top 5 pg excels in those key areas. That leaves CP3, Nash and T. Parker. All 3 are master pg's who can legitimize any team they're on instantly. If age wasn't a factor this is a toss up for me but I'll go with Nash because I'm biased. At least I can admit it.

At least I can admit it. I agree with the true point guard explanation. I had a hard time not putting tony Parker in my top 5.I disagree with your exception of Williams. He was like 4th in the Nba in assists last year. I think rondos speed, defense, ability to get to the hoop, and of course his great passing are more of an asset late in a game than his poor mid to perimeter shooting (including free throws) are liabilities. The guy is a tripple double machine. But in my list I could not deny the impact those players have on the game even be it scoring first. If I was to say PURE POINT GUARD RIGHT NOW I would say 1-rondo 2- cp3 3- tony Parker 4- Steve nash 5- derron Williams

I have no disagreement with that RR is great and CP3 is great also--they r totally efficient and makes the team much better. R.Westbrook more of a SG and slows down the game with a lot of unneccessary dribbles and slow decision making. Don't be surprised that J. Lin may make the top five or ten this year, he has improved a ton over last year, he can go to his left now and a much better shooter from the foul line and regular shooting.
