I'm ok, very busy at work though. I only work 4 days, Mon thru Thurs, work until 7:00 p.m. on Thursdays but get every Fri Sat and Sunday off. I was overjoyed that the Steelers beat Denver on Monday night. My daughter is going to visit her boyfriend for Thanksgiving so I won't be roasting a turkey on Thanksgiving, I'm waiting until she comes home the following week, because they are vegans and don't eat meat or dairy...so she won't be getting a traditional dinner there, so I want to wait and make it when she's here. My cat had three kittens (4 really but one was still-born) and they are adorable, a week old, and I've been just laying on the floor near her and the babies and watching them. They are so cute, one blonde and two black, I like the black one with the white stripe down the middle of her face. I'm calling her Madge. I already have them all promised out to people. Other than that stuff, it's been calm....how are things with you? What will you do for Thanksgiving?

Things are good. In Canada we celebrate Thanksgiving in October. So thats long gone. Sounds like you are a busy trooper wow. Didn't know you were an nfl fan. I follow nba a little closer than I do football. Glad to hear things are going well.

Oh, I forgot that you lived in Canada Sammy, I remember now that you posted that a while back. Today I have to go shopping for a new stove. Not a pleasant trip, but I want a new one in place before the holidays. I've been saving for a new one for a few months and yesterday my boyfriend gave me 300$ towards it so now I have enough to go get one. I have a broken heel and a torn tendon in my foot so it's going to be difficult getting around with this enormous boot on my foot, it tires me out and at the end of the day it hurts but such is life, huh?

It's been pretty nuts around here lately, a girl 15 years old was just shot yesterday afternoon, about 5 blocks from me, last Friday night two teenage boys were shot 2 blocks from me and last Wednesday a 19 year old was shot in the face (he died) about 8 blocks from me. I know him and I know his mom fairly well as she is a client of the place I work. About a year and a half ago another one of her sons was shot and killed, he did a home invasion and the man they tried to rob shot him in the chest with a shotgun and he died too. I feel horrible about all of this.

Man oh man whats this word coming too. Yea we hear the odd thing like that here but not very often. More in the inner core of Toronto, Iam actually just outside Toronto. Its a big city of 6 million now.
How did you do that to your foot? Are you getting a ceramic top oven?

Yes, sometimes it's horrible around here, we have a lot of drugs, kids, gangs, etc. The only reason I'm not afraid is because I'm not into that drug scene/gang scene at all (LOL) and they usually leave the ordinary citizens alone and fight amongst themselves.

Thanks, I try to hang in there but I work at an outreach program in this city and I know so many of these kids that are caught up in this mess, so many of their Moms. Every other week something bad happens and I am not able to detach myself. The kid that got shot in the face (more than once too, ugggggh), he was on an ankle bracelet a couple of years ago and ran and I took his Mom all over the place trying to find him before the police did. Of course, we didn't find him. That's her second teen-aged son killed in two years. This woman is not a bad person. These kids are hard to control in this day and age. They just won't listen. I didn't go to the funeral but a friend told me that the service was 4 hours long and the mother screamed and cried the entire time. My boss told me I am not suited for this job (been there 20 years) because I am too emotional and soft....go figure.

I certainly will enjoy my stove. I can't wait until it gets here. I'm watching the Super Steelers whoop on the Bungles at 1:00 and I can't wait for the game. I hate the Bengals and the Ravens! GO STEELERS!
