Dale Jr. to RCR? Not as Outlandish as You Might Think

Full story: www.autoracingdaily.com

Think about it: Harvick could join Stewart Haas Racing as a third driver (most likely).

Harvick leaves RCR and Junior arrives, just in time for the 10th anniversary of his late father’s death at Daytona International Speedway.

I hope to God, this never happens. Hot Shot wanted to make it on his own so for him to now fall back to milking his dads legacy for a few more dollars would be an insult to the whole Earnhardt family. Oh, but wait, he doesn't care about the Earnhardt family, it's all about him and big bucks. Well get a lot of big bucks, Jr. because if you want a championship, you're going to have to buy one.

That would be pretty cool, but I don't see it happening.

Theresa might have to buy one for her team. If Jr wanted to Milk his Dad's legacy, he would've stayed at DEI.

I suggested this last week. It could happen and it should. Dale jr needs a laid back atmosphere where he can be who he wants to be. Go dale fast.

They just talked about this on Sirius and they said that Jr has so many contracts in place for another three years that the notion of him moving to RCR would not happen for a long while. I also thought moving to RCR would have been a great idea for Jr, as the pressure to perform with the likes of JJ, MM and Gordon would be gone.

Doesn't RCR own the number 3? Jr did say he'd like to drive that number at the end of his career.

I read an article about that today, seemed to make sense until they talked about him getting out from under his fathers shadow.RCR has the rights to the #3,and not a doubt Richard would want him to use it,heck,he thinks hes under pressure to perform as an Earnhardt now, that would be unbearable!I think he would do well with Richard just not in the #3.
And yes I do believe you will see Kasey or Kevin with Tony for the 2011 season, if not both.Mind you what does it do to a friendship when one of your best friends is your boss?

The way that RPM seems to be imploding, it wouldn't surprise me if Kasey does end up at SHR--or somewhere else. He's pretty much carrying what's left of that team, and Petty knows this. Sadler hasn't done sh!t and Sorenson just can't cut it at Cup level. Dinger has some real talent and, if he can get the right team and equipment, I really think you'll see him start to run top 10-15.

I think Ryan and Tony seem to get along really well and I don't think Tony throws that "I'm the boss" out there. I think Kasey would work out but not so sure about Kevin. I wouldn't be surprised though to see Kevin move his nationwide team up to Cup level.

I'd like to see Harvick with Tony...or even Kasey. It doesn't matter where Jr. ends up. Jr.'s problem is all in his head and until he gets that straight he will not have success, regardless of who he drives for.

He wants to milk his dads legecy? That's why he's at RH right? The rival during the last few years of his life. Any real Earnhadrt fan hates RH due to JG.
He doesn't care about his family? That's why most of them work for him then right?
He won't have to buy a championship, Nascar will give him one, remember he the chosen one. sarcassm

Any real Earnhardt (notice the correct spelling) fan who hates any other driver or team owner is not a racing fan. They are a fan of a person. Rivalry is one thing...hate is quite another.

I like Kevin okay, but I think Kasey is a better fit.

I don't believe RCR will ever realize the #3 to be run again. JMO I think he would receive too much flak and ALOT of hate mail if he did. He's too smart for that.

You will not be allowed to throw anything at Jr. Ever. Period. We still love him. We will always love him. If you even think about throwing anything at Jr, you will be very sorry.

People who throw beer cans, regardless of their intended targets or reasons, are nothing more than delinquents who do not respect the sport of racing, much less themselves.

I thought I heard they were saving the three for one of the grandkids...Either dales or richard once they move up into Nascar. But Jr did say at one time he would not mind running it at the end of his carrer as well. I do believe the only one that would run it though would be earnhart childress family member.
