Wrong, he said himself in an interview that he had rowdy on the back window of his truck and a reporter saw it and called him that on air and the name stuck. So he kinda did give the name to himself. The only problem with Rowdy .The 1st person I think of is rowdy roddy piper. And I just can not picture Kyle in a KILT . But then on the other hand maybe he has the legs to pull it off . Who knows. LOL
