prelude to a dream

did anyone on the board get prelude to the dream tickets @ eldora?

We got them and I cannot wait - this is my first year.

I can see my preggo ass right now - big # 20 on my stomach!!!!

I got tickets too. This will be my 4th year and I can't wait either. It's a great show, lots of fun.

Got mine, Can't wait. I was that Big tummy 2 yrs ago, but every achy bone in my body was well worth it. I am getting so antsy just thinkng about it. I'll wave to everyone from the pits!!! See ya there.

I heard Stewart is trying to buy the old New Bremen Speedway---anyone hear anything?

Yep! Have been the past two years. Even have the pics and autographs to prove it.

Yep! I'll be there - 4th year running. Sec. AA rows 4 and 5 (right in front of the bar area <hic>!lol) Also camping there across 118 at Eldora Village even though I live only 15 minutes away - we love having a big cook-out before the festivities begin...then we don't have to drive home afterwards until morning - nice to avoid the traffic that night.

How do you manage to get in the pits? I can, if the newspaper I work for would fill out the credentials needed to get in, but I can't take anyone else with me, so I choose not to. Plus all my family & friends are sitting up in the grandstand & I'm afraid I'd miss something - those people are CRAZY!!!! LOL! We always have a blast!

it is soo cool that you guys get to go.. I can't wait till I get to be the hot dog lady.. I am going to go to Winston Salem and get some of those secret hot dogs to bring to my interview.. they won't be able to resist...

Hey TSGIRL, I want to go to Prelude so bad, it is too far to drive, i would have to fly and than rent a car, not knowing where iam going, kinda scarry, but maybe we could meet up or something, just a thought?

20girl, My husband and I normally drive in that day from MI(3&1/2 hrs) We stay at the track pretty much all day and all night then go to the Comfort Inn in Greenville. Meeting up b/f and after would be cool but, do you have someone that could fly in with you to hang out with you during the race?? No offense but, I don't want to give up the pit action.

Let's just say that I have my connections, but if your group is that crazy I'll have to come up and meet you guys. Stinks b/c NO Drinking in the pits, so my fun usually doesnt start till after the race.

TSGIRL, I was down in the pits in PADUCAH, beleive me I want to be in the pits again, It was a blast!!

20girl, When you were in Paducah was it a NASCAR night?? At Eldora it's not open pits(unfortunatly), you pretty much need to know the big guy to get into the pits. I have to get to Paducah!!I want to go there soo bad. I would like to get down there sometime this summer. I see you are in AL. How far is that for you to drive to Paducah, or did you drive?? If you do get a chance to get up to Eldora well have to meet up and hang out.

I've heard rumors about NB Speedway, but I work at Eldora, and asked Tony myself. I heard that they were tearing it down and Tony was like "They are?? like right now?" My sister and bro-in-law live literally across the road from the NB Speedway, and keep an eye on what goes on there.

Hey TSGIRL, Oh didn't know about the pit sitauation at Eldora, YOU GO GIRL! Where i live in ALABAMA is about 6 hours to Paducah,
I drive there. Actually I am 30 to 40 min from Fayette County where Tony is a deputy sheriff.
I have a real funny story, don't know if i should tell it, I would be called a liar or something, but if we meet up in ELDORA one day I will tell you.Are you going to Tony's Fan Club Picnic in July??

Hey 20girl, When is his picnic? I'm assuming in Indiana, right? I haven’t gotten to any yet. I usually like to see Tony when he's not stressed out. Like at Eldora. Did you happen to get pulled over by Tony? I've met the Sheriff from Fayette, he was up at Eldora for the Kings Royal Last year(I think, maybe subway50), the first time I met him was at Eldora 2 yrs ago at the prelude. Girl we have to find a way to get together. I know all about people thinking you’re lying about stuff that I've done with Tony or knowing Tony. I feel ya. The Fan Appreciation Picnic is the Monday (July 28)after the Brickyard.

Be forewarned though...if (when) Tony wins the Brickyard, he may (will) be up to 3 hours late for the picnic...a little hung over usually. ;-)
