Not yet but he has talked with Penske and is scheduled to talk with Shell/Penzoil. Still doesn't mean he will get the job, heard Penske is looking for a bigger name driver. |

After reading some of the post and wondering why JGR would let Ford go i decided to go check the stats for ford! he may not be big name but he and denny had a great run together.
As crew Chief of the number 11 car Mike Ford won 17 races and had championship finishes of 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 8th, 9th, and 12th. Ford and Hamlin never missed the chase in the 6 years paired together. On Dec 6th, 2011 Joe Gibbs Racing released Ford. That Joe fella is sure a heartless SOB. LOL it is all for the good of moving to the top. dog eat dog world glad i am watching from behind glass. If I was front row it would be boring because most my employees would be using walkers or wheel chairs and taking family leave. Folks with a heart cant normally win. Thats why we love to say money isn't everything, it can't buy love! |

None that I currently know of but heard he's trying to shake the tree and see what falls out. One thing that comes to mind is that Kenseth needs a sponsor and Shell/Penzoil needs a driver.... |

Judged: 1 Darian Grubb will take his 2011 championship-winning crew chief trophy with him from Stewart-Haas Racing to Joe Gibbs Racing when he starts work Monday as Denny Hamlin’s crew chief. He will try to leave two things behind from his experiences with Tony Stewart: any ill feelings about being fired despite winning a championship and anything he learned from his experiences of being crew chief for a driver who also is the boss. Told six weeks prior to the end of the 2011 that he would be fired at season’s end, Grubb responded to that situation by helping lead Stewart to three wins in the final four races in an incredible run to the Sprint Cup title. That wasn’t enough to keep his job – both Grubb and Stewart said that neither considered a reconciliation – and Grubb spent less than a week unemployed as JGR hired him Friday to replace Mike Ford as Hamlin’s crew chief. “I didn’t choose to not be a crew chief in the situation I was in before,” Grubb said Friday during a teleconference.“I really don’t feel like I have anything to prove other than I want to work with championship contenders.… I’m not going to do anything for spite because those are all the wrong reasons. |

Judged: 1 1 1 People just seem to want to look at the last few races and the fact they won the championship. I remember plenty of races thinking he totally missed the setup and they struggled all weekend. I was thinking in the middle of the summer they'd be lucky just to win one single race. I like Darian and think he can be a good CC. I just don't think he's the right fit for Tony |

I work for a chemicals who owns Valvoline. From what I understand we are sponsoring the 17# cat at least in several races |
