Points battle tightens as Chase heads to Phoenix

Full story: Bradenton.com

The largest deficit ever overcome with two races remaining occurred in 1992 when Alan Kulwicki trailed by 85 points, but edged Bill Elliott for the Cup title by just 10 points, making it the second closest points battle in series history.

Why do you insist on coming to the TS forum just to praise HMS? Oh~that's right. You want to stir the pot with Debi. Leave it alone already.

You may have skittles coming out your ass, but I agree with you 100%. It's only to stir the sh*t nothing more, nothing less. All these JJ fans needs to go on his forum. Lets see that would make it 7 posters right?

Andy is welcome anywhere she wants. and Besides, what's good for the goose is good for the gander. Debi stirs the pot as well.

You can go anywhere you want to too. Sure Debi stirs the pot, but you want to stir the pot when it doesn't need to be stirred. IJS We are use to Andy, but you on the other hand have a tendency to be mean spirited and somewhat nasty. You like to put jabs in just to ruin a perfectly good conversation.

To break this down heres the way it stands.
JJ finishs in 4th or better chase is over.
JJ finishes 5th,Mark has to win both races and lead most laps in both to win championship.
Now what are the odds of that happening?

The media is just trying to write stories.
Its over.
Whats the chance of the 48 having trouble two weeks in a row? Unless the pressure is getting to them of course.

mark won the last pheonix race. if mark wins this week and jimmie leads a lap at some point, but cuts a tire with 10 to go and finishes 17th, they are tied. that's not such a wild scenario.

or if jimmie gets hacked by the 00/77 on lap 3 and manages to hit both walls around him and also get tagged by the 12 in between... that would be even better.

going into last week it was jimmie needs to finish top 20 and mark needs to win 3 and lead every lap and buy some points to boot.

what a difference a week makes regarding useless stats! i bet you enjoy the bullshitt 'as they run' points too.

Mark Martin named 2009 NASCAR Illustrated Person of the Year )
I am Happy for Mark Martin . But seeing what Tony did with a team that couldn't finish a race or barely made it in the top 20 . Turned it into a winning team and has both of his cars in the chase in his 1st year of owner ship . I am a little disappointed he wasn't pick . There is always next year :)

Daily Horoscope for January 6

Cancer

You could struggle to display your feelings and emotions at the moment. Being so sensitive, the smallest things could hurt your feelings, but no one else is likely to realise since you retreat into your shell at these times. This will not be a conscious decision, and you'll feel frustrated at your inability to explain the hurt you suffer.
