I guess it's official...Tony has been drinking the nascar koolaid and has gone completely PC...uggh

I realize as an owner he has to be more careful with what he says but his fans liked him for his honesty and speaking his mind. The race was boring in the middle - don't back peddle now and blame the media.

Wasn't he the one asking for No-Doze during the race? You're right, he's gone over to the dark side.

And their too stupid to figure out that their "damage control" is only driving more fans away.

On the bright side, if it keeps up, the saturday night short track races should see their attendance go up along with different series not affliated with Nascar.

The beginning and the ending of the race weren't too boring. But the middle 3 hours were a bit of a soozefest to me.

Personally I think it would be good for Nascar if people spent the next year going to their local tracks and let Nascar get taste of what they are doing to the sport. Because judging from jj's sales and popularity he won't be able to subsidize them for long...then dirt and short track saturday night would not have a problem offering bigger purses and names to their events. And it would help each places local and state economy as well.At least then the money would go into the "right pockets. And the France Family would have to find a new way to subsidize their habits. JMHO though

Tony was heard saying to his crew chief to say something funny to keep him awake. They even played that quote on TWIN. So what the hell is he saying now? The race WAS boring.

If the fans don't watch or go to the races, then Tony and the other drivers' lifestyles will be severely altered. You see what is happening with sponsors and teams in this economy. When you look at it from that point of view, it doesn't surprise me that they have changed their tune. JMO

Didn't anyone see the video not only was he made about the media coverage . When they told him the fans left to walk around the track .His response was something like If it wouldnt get me into trouble I would tell you what I think .But I will keep quiet .Smoke was also mad at the fans. Its on Nascar.com you can hear from the man himself.

Nascar has ruined racing at Dega. My first race was in 78', at the age of 14, I saw many of the greats race their heart out. Lennie Pond won that race and there were something like 78 lead changes. Donnie Allison, Bobby, Waltrip, and many others. Oh, by the way, NO PLATES. I've attended just about every race at that track since that year and the racing was so much better before the plates and before Nascar decided to turn the cars into "IROC" cars. Same shape car for everyone. What a joke.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Sagittarius

Once again, your nerves are getting the better of you. There will be some fraught moments unless you can control your temper and not get drawn into verbal fisticuffs at the drop of a paper hat. It won't help if a partner is feeling neglected as that will give you something else to worry about. You need to relax and start enjoying yourself!
