I agree.. Love watching him on Trading Paint, he's a decent debater. I would like to see AJ in his car.

I agree, sad but true he just never quite cut it as a Cup driver. I do like to watch him on TV. Dill, you are right, he is easy on the eyes, at least on my eyes anyhow!!! LOL!

Sponsors like a guy that has a chance to win. Kyle Petty is not one of those.

Kyle seems to have given up. No fire left in the belly. Sad to not have a Petty in a car, but he needs to let someone else drive. PS: I don't care much how he looks woof barf 10-4 wait for it.

According to Chocolate Myers on Sirius radio, Patti, Kyle's wife, said over the weekend that Kyle probably had run his last race, that he was being forced out of the car. Chocolate didn't elaborate on who was forcing him out of the car. Now, just to set the record straight, there was a time when Kyle was just as competitive as any driver on the circuit. In the late 80's and early 90's he owned the track at Rockingham, no one could touch him. Time takes toll though and it's time for Kyle to move into the booth and let us enjoy him even more than we have on the track. I think he's going to be this eras "Gentleman Ned". There's some great folks in the booth now but we're still missing something from Benny passing on that I think Kyle can bring to the air.

It will be a sad day when The Pettys are no more in NASCAR.

I love watching and listening to Kyle. I hope he isn't being forced out as Whoyakidding said. I hate that for anyone. These drivers live to race and it has got to be the hardest thing to be forced out not just retire on their own.

I heard Patti on the Claire B Lang show on Friday say that Kyle wouldn't be driving the 45 anymore, but she said he's still hoping to find another ride. Doesn't seem likely, but she said he still wants to be a driver.

I agree on his commentating prowess, I also agree that it is time for him to move aside, let some youngster get in the car. I also believe that something drastic needs to be done by Dodge to make their cars competitive!

Having to give up what you love doing when it isn't your choice is tough. I know, I did it. I was twelve years into a great Army career and lost a knee in a training accident. Giving it up was the toughest thing I ever did but I couldn't compete anymore on a stiff leg that was as good as it was ever going to be.
