That was just one of several stupid comments Griese made during that/every game. ESPN should retire his number, for good!

For my money, Griese can be suspended forever. Talk about an EGO! Plus, he sure doesn't like Ohio State.

I have never been a Griese fan but the PC Police has ruined this country. That is something that even Bob Griese has never come close to.

Will you idiots please grow up!? Griese is a very fine man and a great announcer, and in no way did he intend to demean Juan Pablo Montoya. Ha was simply trying to be funny. I laughed. JPM didn't have a problem, so why does anyone else? I'm sick and tired of these jerks and their "politically correct" b******t! Quit your damn whining and lighten up!

This idiocy just shows how the "politically correct" are in charge of our TV sets. The man made a bad joke. The guy he made it about doesn't even care. Yet all the liberals in America have their panties tied up in knots. Give ma a break.

When I heard that during the game, I was like WTFreak. He is paid too much money and should be a professional when doing his job. Unfortunately, no amount of money can cover unprofessionalism. Maybe this week off will challenge his aging mind to really think about things before he speak.

He, like Jimmy Carter, has made himself irrelevant. I heard the comment during the game and knew then he would catch some flack. He should be happy Spielman is an even tempered guy - the kind of crap he gave Chris all day would get a guy knocked on his ass down here. Although, since one of the announcers suggested a cage match, I could go along with that.

I don't know if his comments merit a suspension but I sure wish Bob Griese were held out of commenting on Buckeyes games. He has no lost love for the 'bucks!

Greise is in the running to be as out of touch as Brent Musberger. The both are in way over their heads and make many stupid, uninformed comments trying to impress listeners with knowledge the do not possess. I would be pleased to see both of them put out to pasture. In fact most sportscasters on TV fall into that same category....Do they have a class on stupiditity in broadcast school?? I really prefer to watch the game with the sound muted anyway.

Profesional anouncers do not attempt to be funny at someone else's expense. If they are in the booth with them, ok, but old Greesy is well known for his attempted humor and also bitterness toward OSU.
He half heartedly apologized for his OSU remark at the end of the broadcast, but, he did not sound the least bit sincere and ESPN cut him short.
I agree that all this PC crap is getting out of control, but, when you punch the time clock you are working for someone else and not your self.
Too bad he doesn't understand this. Oh by the way, two profesionals are Chris and Herb. They bleed for OSU but not during the game.....
ESPN's Mark Mays should be furloughed for his open bitterness against OSU.

Well then in response I have to say....."WTFreak"... ....you're wrapped a bit too tight.
An earlier poster was right....since Montoya is Columbian, maybe Griese should have said he was out putting kilos of crack in paper bags. At least that would have been worthy of a suspension.

Seriously, this is ridiculous. If Montoya was Irish instead, should people of Irish decent be enraged if Griese said he out eating potatoes? What a joke. Granted, Griese may no longer be the brightest bulp in the lamp, but the punishment exceeded the crime here.

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Taurus

Get involved in financial transactions at your peril under today's Lunar Eclipse, because certain people will use them as a stick to beat you with. For instance, if you ask someone to lend you money they'll either make you feel guilty about it or dredge up all sorts of past instances when their trust was betrayed. You would also be well advised to avoid any show of possessiveness or jealousy, even if you feel it, unless you truly don't care about the disastrous outcome.
