Montoya's retaliation didn't cause much damage. He should have flipped Stewart's car over 'cause the 14 driver started this mess.

Besides for this childish who's the better driver and who's at fault bullshyt. Straight up if I owned a car I would hire either of those mofos because they didn't lay down and say ok run all over me. If you have someone who gives it their all and lays it on the line then you have a fiery driver that wont give up. I know this thread is supposed to be a flame war but I'm a race fan first and as a race fan it was what we needed. The crowd roared. They both were wrong and I loved every minute of it.

Did this idiot reporter even watch the race. The first line says Stewart was knocked out of the race but when you read the article it says he didn't even have to go to the garage. How about reporting the facts instead of trying to make hot head JPM into some hero. He should have stuck with open wheel.

The same thing happened Saturday when Denny and BK were at it. Denny said he has never heard a Nationwide crowd cheer that loud.

JPM has every right to enter into any race series he can get into. He came in and beat out quite a few drivers to get into the chase and did extremely well considering he WAS runner up against the 3 Hendrick cars, 4th in points after Tally. He will learn better how to drive against people the way they drive against him - the give and take that's expected by everyone out there. But we still have to consider that aggressive driving eventually lands you in somebody else's space and contact should be interpreted as what it is. Drivers will get hit and turned, but if its accidental, it needs to be treated as such. Montoya's initial impact to Stewarts rear was a situation Tony stuck himself in by jumping in front of a car going 5MPH or so faster. Montoya had to guess if he was going to slide up, whether he'd move back down, whether he'd accelerate enough, and how hard he needed to lift/brake when thats the LAST thing he wanted to do. His impact didn't result in losing spots or cutting tires or significant damage that I know of. Stewart didn't give him an eye for an eye, and therefore he was more out of line.

You're wrong Juan won it as a rookie when i was called cart. Tony Indy results 1996 24th 1997 5th 1998 33rd 1999 9th 2001 6th Although Tony won the championship(when penske went to the west coast and the competition was gone) he only won 3 irl races altogether. jpm 1999 first oval race was at Indy and he won and a rookie finishing spot #1 not only at Indy won cart title He won 25% of the 40 races he was in. He won 10 times in cart. Jpm has 7 f1 wins tony wouldn't even make it there no one even looked at him for f1 Egg on your face fool. Ha Ha.

Actually Montoya and Stewart are my two favorite drivers. I am pissed at both of them, but also think it was kinda cool for both of them too.

Boogers, just take your precious Juan and go back to open wheel. All I have seen is Juan started fights with so many drivers and no one likes him. He will never be a champion in Nascar because he doesn't know how to race. He only fights with other drivers and his own crew chief. You just need to crawl back under your rock. Tony a great driver of IRL, Late Models, Midgets, USAC, Cart, Nationwide and even Nascar. Juan hasn't competed in all that.
