Did Ryan Newman quit on Penske last year? Define quit, Ryan was just as strong as the rest of the Penske cars, people just do not wish to admit that in NASCAR Roger has never had a consistent winning team. Roger came the closest with Rusty who was a great chassis man and was one of the last seat of the pants racers. Penske is not a winner in NASCAR, the dodge power package is below par in NASCAR and Ryan was going to another team the next year. Ryan did not quit, however, like anybody running out a string at a job, he was not part of the future, ergo, he did what was expected and nothing extra. Now, Mr. David, you have opened your size 15 mouth about a proven driver, hope you live up to your big mouth, people will be watching, up to this point you did not exactly set the Nation Wide Series on fire when you were there.

Roger is a great indy car guy... he admits they just don't quite have it in NASCAR. He thanked Tony for the 500 win when Tony went down to get help from his teamate...Roger knows how it goes in NASCAR.. He admires drivers like Tony who is a great virsatile driver and there are no hard feelings about Ryan going with Tony..Ryan has not had a stellar season since he lost his old crew cheif to who? Haas CNC....

i dont believe ryan will be with tonys team very long'him an tony have really never gotton along very good on the race track'
if ryan gets a sponser i will be surprised he aint that good of a driver either.
i see my hms is testing in mesa arizona this week' i bet rebel child is there watching.

Tony is going to be the best team owner ever to Ryan. He wants Ryan to be successful and says that he could not be more proud than the day when Ryan is in victory lane..Maybe Ryan did not hangout with Tony prior to this, but they are friends now. If you had sirius radio Andy, you could have heard first hand Tony talk of how Chrissie is helping him plan his log home and how Ryan has helped him out as well... Ryan had Crusty as a teamate and they hated each other, he had Kurt as a teamate and there seems to not be any love lost there...and now he is driving for the nicest, most friendly, man in the entire sport. Tony did not want to get into NASCAR until he could be assured that he was going to be a championship contender... he would not have left a sure ride if he did not think that he was going to be 100% competitive..
I know that some people do not realize this, but every race, if Tony is given a car that can get through traffic, he is a contender to win the race..it used to take late race phantom debris cautions to let Jeff catch him and pass to win because of tires... and now of course, we ALL agree the first pit stall gives way too much advantage to the team that comes to the track specifically TO QUALIFY because they know the race is DONE then... oh, I am soooo glad Tony got a crew chief from the dasturdly garage of Rick Hendrick.. guys who will do ANYTHIMG whatsoever to win while other guys merely think racing can do it... now Tony, the greatest reace car driver on the face of the Earth will have both barrels loaded each week!!!GENIUS!!!! I really like Jimmy. I love the way he makes it look like a Sunday drive on the empty freeway. You have to give him credit!! The man can drive!!!!! And he's nice to listen to and look at.

See your problem is you are a real race fan . Even if you do not like a driver you are not so blind to see there ability as a driver .JMO
