David Gilliland Entered in California

David Gilliland has been entered in the auto club 500 next weekend at the auto club speedway and possibly 3 other races for trg motorsports driving the #71 chevy !!!!!

Gilliland blew his chance because after he won that Kentucky Nationwide race, he had a choice between Yate's Cup car and RCR's Nationwide car and he took the Yates ride which was a stupid move. He needed more experience and RCR was the more established team but he screwed up and now look where he's at, and he'll be lucky if he even gets to stay in the field-filler he's in now! If he would've taken RCR's ride, he could of been taken over the Cheerios or Jack Daniels car instead of them hiring Casey Mears and he wouldnt have to worry about qualifying his way in, but he got greedy and he put himself where is now.

and what if it didnt work out with rcr then what.he would of never of got a cup ride and he'd end up worse off

He is a good driver, he just needs more time and the right team to put him up in. Whether he made a good decision or not, I don't know that is a tough one if you ask me. You see alot of teen agers go to the NBA to make money and secure them for life and provide for their families or may have the chance with RCR. I probably would have taken the Yates ride to and I bet if you were in the same situation you would too.
