BS Brian! Want to take back the contracts you have with FOX and ESPN? Start your own network and keep a gun to YOUR announcers heads so they only say what BIG BROTHER...NASCAR and Brian France want to be said. He's as bad as the gov. trying to censor the networks. I don't mind when the announcers say something about something that just happened and Helton comes over from the next booth and gives NASCARS take on it, but to tell them to shut up is stepping over the line.

Let's make a deal, Brian. You go ahead and control the announcers and LET THE DRIVERS RACE without you sticking your new rules in at the last minute.

This is definatly (sp) stepping over the line. To try and control the media to give a picture perfect scene of the sport when the fans and the ones covering the races agree that the quality of the racing is geting worse is like putting blinders on a horse. I believe you shouldn't surround yourself with 'yes men' all of the time. you need the voice of dissent sometimes to get a true feeling of where something is.

I hear ya. Thursday night is a happy hour tradition with the group that I socialize with. Most of us take it easy and get home about 7:30 or so.
