Read the stinking story.

Carl Long just races NON-POINT races.

HE IS A NOBODY IN THE SPORT.

He has 23 starts and NO WINS. Many DNF's.

Ok wait a second!...

First of all... WHO!? Carl Long!? This guys claim to fame in The NASCAR World is his Rockingham flip in 2004! Now this!?

Second of all... FOR WHAT!? An engine that was too big!? Ok, someone explain that to me! There is no way that this has ever happened in the NASCAR World before...

I think we need a little better explanation on this one!...

What fool would come to the track with a over sized engine.?
They should suspend him for the entire year. He is a joke......
Even with that big engine he would be lucky to place 40th.....

LOL. I watch NASCAR every week and I've never heard of this guy either. But to be perfectly honest, I'm scared to see where he is in the points system right now because he could easily be ahead of Earnhardt, Jr. at this point and time and that would REALLY hurt.

Imbeciles such as yourself always tickle me when you obviously care enough to comment on the subject then turn around like a total idiot and ask who cares about this. The apparent answer is YOU Einstein.

I think I got an answer...

"The car was found to be in violation of Sections 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing); 12-4-I (any determination by NASCAR Officials that the race equipment used in the event does not conform to NASCAR rules); and 20-5.4A (engine exceeded the maximum engine size of 358.000 cubic inch displacement) of the 2009 NASCAR rule book." (NASCAR.com )

... but I still think we need to know a few more specifics about this!...

Displacement is probably the easiest measurement in an engine. What %#$@
would use that technique to cheat in the first place. No wonder he in 70th place.

bunch of mouth breathing bozos! Long bought the engine from a builder with full certs saying it met NASCAR requirement. Since he doesnt build his own engines he would have no reason to check the displacement. the discrepant measurement was less than a tenth of a percent, about the same level of accuracy of their equipment. But you notice NASCAR didnt punish the engine builder or investigate the rest of his engines, he is part of their old boy network.

Carl Long is just another average racer who races in the old Hooters Cup division and started racing in the mini stock division at Orange County and South Boston, fact is Carl Long is one of those individuals who does not have a lot of money or star power, ergo, NASCAR in all their might will jump on him.

Where was this policy when Richard Petty won his 198th race with a "Big Engine"?

Where was this policy when the non driving, mouth running Michael Waltrip got caught with a foreign substance in his air cleaner during qualification at Daytona, how many races did Mikey get suspended.

NASCAR for all of its popularity and money is still basically a punk run organization afraid of anybody with pull or sponsorship and willing to jump with both feet on the underdog.

I hope Brian France gets a "woodie" out of this one because it might be the only one this little no brain idiot gets all year.

People, face it, NASCAR has placed no value on the little people, both inside and outside of the walls. I made the statement several years ago that if somehow the fans could be painted in making the stands look good for TV then NASCAR would not bother having tracks sell tickets. Unless you sit in a corporate suite or pay for weekend or week long camping in the motorhome areas NASCAR could care less.

This is why I will pay to watch the Old Hooters Cup races or the PASS series events, however, will not drive the 35 miles to the "Perfect Track" in Richmond Va to watch NASCAR.

You said this had never happened in nascar before. Well it happened to Junior Johnson and his crew chief Tim Brewer
at Charlotte in 1991.

Perhaps he is the little gut, however, he is the little guy who has been on the high bank tracks of NASCAR, and you?

Perhaps you should purchase or build a race car and enter it at a local track (any division you wish) you will get a profound respect for these drivers, whether they be contending for a win or not able to qualify.

Carl Long is Carl Long because he has the nads to sit in the racecar, on the track. You are you because you have a comfort level in front of your TV.

Well we do have 2 race cars on the NHRA circuit. I think you jumped without knowing anything at all about me or what I do.How would you know anything about my comfort level ??? No
matter what you race they do have rules and that
includes Carl Long.

Daily Horoscope for December 4

Sagittarius

You're in a sensitive mood today, so you need to choose the company you keep very carefully. Resist the urge to believe only what you want to believe and to disregard the rest, even if something is so obvious that it's staring you in the face. Do not bury your head in the sand or avoid anything unpleasant, because you'll have to face it sooner or later. The more you resist doing this now, the more difficult things may be further down the line.
