FIFTH GEAR: Last place warrants NASCAR inspection

Is NASCAR really cracking down on the "start-and-park" teams? When Aric Almirola finished last in last Sunday's Sprint Cup race in Las Vegas for the second week in a row, he found NASCAR inspectors waiting in the garage area for an inspection that matched those generally reserved for the top five finishers.

Hey Louie "THANKS" for mentioning the local sprint cars. We need to keep the grass roots racing going in the country and stuff like this really helps.

Louie Brewster, I wanted to thank you for the article on the California Lightning Sprints as I've been a fan, supporter, member and racer of that series since day one and I've been the president for the past 5 years. I'm very thankfull for any ink in any capacity and it's guys like you that keep short track racing alive!
